This lore is getting deep. The fact that they are on the same places together and interacting is very interesting

That time Shaquille O'Neal spent $70, 000 at Walmart and his card declined because his bank thought it was fraud. He was trying to furnish a new apartment.

The really rich typically don’t care about status. Working in banking for 20 years, these videos are spot on in my experience. The really rich don’t drive new cars and they wear jeans. They never speak down to people and especially those employees on the bottom rung. Though when they feel the need to they ask for the real decision maker and they are clear and direct about their expectations but always with respect. And they are also reasonable. Seen it over the years starting as a teller and eventually as a branch manager. I have dozens of stories I could retell.

People gotta realize there's a difference between being rich and staying rich. You can work and have the money all you want, but if you're literally spending is like it's your last day, everyday, then eventually it will be your last day with riches.

The best part about this series is its completely correct I knew a guy that had a nice 100acre farm where he raised horses and a little plot of his wife's garden. You'd think this guy way worth a few 100k not the few 100mil he was. No one new he was loaded till he passed away and left a new library to the local university and city as well as leaving several scholarships for the local university. Then at his funeral the amount of people that came forward to thank him and his wife for paying off medical debt it was insane apparently they all had been told that the debt had been bought by a charity and was forgiven. Mean while they chief of the hospital would call the old man and they would settle the debt for people that were down or out of luck. He now has a plaque at the coop and a nice photo of his wife at the libraries.

This is kind of like that interview Zlatan had when he shops at Ikea.
The interviewer was shocked. His simple answer was that rich people don't shop at Ikea. But smart people do.
That interview was "GOLD."

"May help you get where you want to go faster" is incredibly true. That $1200 car payment doesn't help you get ahead in the slightest, but $1200 invested every month sure does.

This is very accurate. I knew the ceo of Aootex, huge pharmaceutical company, guy was obscenely rich. Drove the most beat up Buick and wore regular clothes and a timex watch. He just didn't bother at all

I've heard Shaq regularly buys complete strangers stuff every time he shops at Walmart. There's a video where he asked a kid if he had a bike, told him to go ask his mom if it was okay if he bought him one, then advised him to never take anything from strangers lol

The best rich people I've ever met shopped cheap and always went for a deal. As I was told, it adds up at the end of year.

Sounds like my Grandfather. He lived and worked on his farm, built his house himself, shopped at wal mart and Aldi, wore old beat up overalls, and drove a base model 2000 chevy Silverado for 20 years. If people passing through to snow shoe ski resort stopped at the local dairy queen for breakfast they saw a grungy farmer who just finished feeding the cows, not realizing many of them were on their way to one of his luxury rental cabins and that he could probably buy them a few dozen times over thanks to him timbering the land, running a sawmill at the foot of the mountain, finding natural gas on the farm, and building rentals at snowshoe lol.
Smartest and hardest working person I ever met.

One of the funniest stories I remember was when he donated a lot to the VFW he was in, one if the national officers came by to thank the donator, the officer was talking to the members and my granddad, apparently he started talking down to my granddad because he was wearing his work boots and overalls, my granddad just said something like: "Maybe next year I should donate elsewhere." The officer went paper white.

these videos are so legit. I work in real estate, was helping set up an open house and an hour before the start we got a call that this agents high net worth client wanted to see the property before the open and sent us a POF that showed over 17 million in holdings. dude showed up on a vespa scooter in cargo shorts, walmart hoodie, and flip flops.

One of the wealthiest people I know drives a 2003 Honda civic. He has been a multi millionaire since the 90's even landed a contract in Atlanta when the Olympics was held there for construction.

Had a similar discussion with a friend for buying a "budget" brand of popcorn than the premium brand.

When I said they taste the same, but I get 20% more for half the money, he thought I was kidding.

Three things I will always pay the extra money for the best quality for. 1) shoes, you're always wearing them they should be the best quality. 2) beds, you're sleeping in them. A good bed can make all the difference in your life. 3) pillows. Same thing as the bed.

One thing I learned in my arts entrepreneurship class is that people who actually have a lot of money and might become your patron aren't looking for huge logos they want quality and they want it to be reflected within the art that they are supporting but they don't want Gotti things that say look at me that's for people who are considered nuvarish

For what its worth, Crown does indeed want better for Rich Guy, despite his sarcastic remarks he is doing his absolute best for Rich Guy to be a better person.

In HS my dad would always comment on how many hours I would have to work at my job to afford something he bought. If I was dating someone who had a job he would make the same comment. "He would have to work 7 hours to buy this, "
I mean, if said in the right way could be a great way to explain the concept of money. But he did it to show how well he was paid, usually with a follow up of something like, "it only would take me 15mins"

I know a really rich man the shops at Goodwill and drives a beat up old truck. One of the nicest, most generous people I know.
