Hello Jordan. I found some misleading information that I would like to point out, so your subscribers wont be confused :) Hope this helps.

1. Atomos Ninja V records very flat. No. It records the exact Picture Profile that you set on your camera. If you set it to Log, then it will record Log. If not, then you don't have to edit colors after.
2. ProRes stores much more information and IS LARGER is size compared to H.264. (ITS A GOOD THING!). Thank to less compression, your computer doesnt have to work as hard to decompress it when you are editing you videos. The more you compress it in camera, the more you have to uncompress it.
3. Atomos Ninja V is 4K recorder, but has only FullHD display. Which is also completely fine - as it still will record 4K. The display is only 1920x1080.
4. You can also connect microphone to your camera and other one directly to the Atomos. It supports 2 channels (left and right) through HDMI. This way, you can record up to 4 channels with Atomos Ninja V.

If you find any other mistakes, please leave it bellow this comment :) all the starting videomakers will be very thankfull!

Isn’t there a workaround for processing and editing in post with 4k footage for those of us with less processing power. Like I have a 16gb ram 2019 MacBook Pro with a 2 TB external harddrive… is that not good enough within Final Cut Pro?

Don’t need to upgrade PC for profes footage. I wish more youtubers would
Mention the proxy editing workflow in premiere. Loads and loads of use it.

Great information in this video. I wish I'd seen it before I took delivery of my new Ninja V. It might have made me think twice about purchasing it. Now I have to find another 2-3 hundred pounds to be able to use it. Thanks for the heads up.

7:30, the sound is picked via hdmi from the sony to the atomos, try it, it works

My advice is to do research before you do a video. Flatter footage doesn’t come from the Aromos comes from the camera settings

Would you recommend Shinobi if I don’t record? Also for non-recording do I only need batteries and the cable ?

I found this video very helpful as it covers a lot of detail that I have not seen in other videos on YouTube that discuss the Atomos Ninja V. It has helped me in my consideration as regards to possibly getting one. Many thanks.

First time that I hear that the Atamos only record flat footage (at the 1:00 minute mark in the video). This would mean that the Ninja V changes the signal which is a non sense. Or did I misunderstand

Thanks for this outstanding review and the 'hidden' costs👊👍🏼

A bit of mistaken information in this video: h264 is a codec known as “Advanced Video Coding” or “AVC”. Mp4 is a digital container file or file storage format (the wrapper around the audio and video streams).
