How would you be hungry on a diet that is impossible to overeat? There’s no limit to how much sugar you can eat, but your bio can only absorb so much fat. Fat and protein or satiating, carbs make you hungrier

I know a disturbing number of people who keep going on a keto diet for weight loss, despite the fact that they are miserable & can never stick to. I try to tell them carbs are not the enemy.

you know what's interesting is that there seems to be a growing number of fitness professionals who are saying things like "carbs are not a necessity in the human diet...only proteins and fats, " which is astounding to me because of not only the easily accessible energy that carbohydrate rich foods provide, but also the numerous micronutrients that are only found in carb rich foods.

Nice channel! I had an experiment with keto a long time ago and what I got out of it was very high total cholesterol (a bit over 10 mmol/L) and painful kidney stones that brought me to a hospital.

Keto was originally used to treat seizures- which is exactly what I did for my son (a vegan keto diet for one year only). Carbs are brain food otherwise! People started using the diet because of the side effects- losing weight. It’s not a sustainable diet!

I lost 80lbs on keto. It also messed up my menstrual cycles, I lost my muscle mass, had no energy, and I had zero appetite. The thought of eating another plate of ground beef made me nauseous. The lack of carbs didn't cause my weight loss. Only being able to consume about 700 calories per day without throwing up did. Now I'm focused on balance. Who doesn't want to eat another apple the rest of their life?!

Both my parents and partner try to follow low carb diets (although not full keto) and have any of them lost substantial weight? NOPE 😂

I limit my bread consumption because I get full so easily, it bloats me, and honestly I'd rather eat more protein than bread so I tend to do lettuce wraps or nori wraps instead of sandwiches but I could never give up bread. I love bread so much I just make sure I don't have too many bread products in a 24 hour period. I eat rice pretty much everyday and I LOVE potatoes. Idk how people do low carb

The vast majority of people who swear by Keto/LC could care less about the research substantiating the primacy of moderate to high carb diets. Fad diets succeed, primarily, because it takes advantage of the human need to have an enemy. For Keto/LC carbs are more an enemy to be destroyed than a macronutrient to be avoided.

I can attest to this! I did keto for almost 10 months back in 2017. Yes, I lost weight, but instantly gained it back when consuming carbs again. I also fasted during this time. I didn't starve because I was eating 2000 calories+ each day, typically all in one meal, lol. When I incorporated carbs back, I gained 20 lbs in ONE MONTH! Interesting fact, keto diet was founded to help epileptic patients minimize their seizures.

The study referenced determined the difference between the low carb and high carb group was 26 calories a day. So while it was true that there was an edge in favor of the high carb group the authors concluded the effect size was so small as to be physiologically insignificant. The abstract does not tell the whole story.

That’s billion of people in this world.
I don’t think that one diet Is suitable for all people
Some people can use crabs correctly
But some just need keto diet like me.
I’m having a better body when I’m on a keto diet. But my fd just really ok on a regular diet with high crabs.

I don’t think we need to say which one is more toxic.
Everyone got different body type.
