GONE! MY PAIN IS GONE. I typing this in the middle of my push day. For the first time in months I was able to bench press and shoulder press without any pain by just doing the banded bench press. I have been doing a lot of Myofascial release for my rhomboid and pec minor, they used to help but only temporary and I had to release them after every set (yes, which ment I was spending way more time at the gym that it was required) but today after just doing your banded bench press my pain is gone. How do I thank you doctor? You are God send. Thank you so much.

I haven’t been able to press in 2-3 years. I’ve tried all the traditional PT stuff like you name it. I’m also have amazing mobility but my right shoulder always popped and just felt so unstable. This little warmup and and queing legit for the first time I could press without a pop or pain happening. This is incredible you post this stuff for free. I could only handle the bar but before I’d even feel pain from just the damn bar!!!

Very similar issue here, have scapular winging on the right scap and it causes a loss of kinetic chain during bench press if I don't prime it well enough in the prep.
Have seen a physio and they recommended similar exercises primarily the 1-2kg lateral raise.
Another bodyweight exercise i found helped seat the scap was an " I Raise" while lying on my stomach. Lay flat, arms pointing forward above your head, take a deep breath in and brace the sternum and hold, lift both arms up above your head (around 6 inches, I go higher because I have the mobility to and no pain) with palms facing down, then slowly lower while still maintaining that tight sternum and breathing out. I also do a external rotation of the wrists to help push the scapular down into place.

The banded chicken wing retraction is new to me, so I'll have to try it out. My right delt has some forward and down rotation which also reduces overall ROM for Rows and Presses.

Hi, SU. This video was the ONE for my pain. FYI The shoulder blade retraction tricks (the lateral raise especially, a bit of chicken wing in another) weren't in your other shoulder shorts. Thanks for saving my presses 💖

I would think if someone made her bench 170 and didn't tell her she'd bench it as easy as she did 166. Good shoulder lessons thank you.

Nice. I have been dealing with this same issue the last two weeks after benching. Ive been doing the w holds like was shown in the video and its helped a lot. It would ve cool to get a breakdown of the lateral raise that was shown, specifucally the "shoulderblade retraction" part.

When doing rear delt for your shoulder you have to point the bottom of your palm to the side instead of pointing down

Really cool. What I want to know is how often and when to preform these exercises. I haven’t been able to bench for a year now and can barley crank out 10 push ups without pain. Max bench was about 250 and max push ups was around 45 reps.
