Scientific Evidence for a Secret Door in the Kings Chamber of the Great Pyramid | Ancient Architects

In this video I am re-visiting subject matter from over a year ago, when I discussed a possible second doorway into the King’s Chamber, in front of the sarcophagus on the north wall. This block is not load-bearing, so technically can be removed without compromising the King’s Chamber, and there are also cracks in the blocks surrounding it as well as wear on the joints, implying that maybe this block wasn’t originally in place, but was added later.

I am told it has the same dimensions as the end of the King’s Chamber sarcophagus, so could be a possible way for it to have gotten into the chamber after the pyramid’s completion. It is too large for the entrance used today and therefore the current explanation that it was placed into the King’s Chamber before the pyramid was complete, may not actually be true.

Since making the video well over a year ago, I have been somewhat taken by this idea of a second entrance so I have decided to look into this further.

I take into account the work of Jean Pierre Houdin, microgravimetry data from the 1980s, physical observations and I have also made a scaled down King's Chamber, which I use in this video to explain more.

All images are taken from Google Images, the two sources linked above and some are of course my own.

**Edit - downloadable PDFs to build your own model with sarcophagus and inserts will be downloadable soon. If you’re interested.

Apologies that the narration is even worse than usual. I have another cold (I blame the kids) and it took a long time to get a coherent 10mins recorded, and you can tell there are lots of sentences joined together in 2 parts. Oh well, I tried my best, considering! If you enjoyed the information, please like, comment and subscribe and if you’d like to support me, I’m on Patreon at - thank you!

There's an en suite bathroom behind that block. The Ancient Egyptians builders were not stupid, they knew it would increase the resale value of the pyramid.

Matt, the last time i was in the great pyramid was this past spring and we had exclusive access for 4 hours. we studied, filmed and measured everything we could. one absolute thing i did was measure the box and the block adjacent to it, and yes the box is smaller than the block. i believe this is the only way i can see that the box was slid into the chamber. if it was put in some other way, they hid it well.

Me, and apparently many others, really appreciate the indie archaeologists like yourself. Not all of the YouTubers in this field are good at what they do, nor trustworthy, but your videos are among the very few where I let the ads play in full and don’t even bother about them appearing.

You’re doing the community a great service, and I hope that you’ll continue to stay humble and willing to share and compare notes with us and others, so that we can one day get some better answers to these ancient questions/mysteries.

Thanks!

And the second entrance block, with interlocking blocks behind it, suggest PRESSURE was being generated in the King's Chamber.

Fascinating! Brilliant. Amazing: just the precision and layout of the tons of blocks themselves.

Thank you Matt.

I think you're really onto something.

I really admire how you keep pushing things to the next level. It's hard enough to find on outlet that doesn't just repost the most common ancient "myths" and "mysteries" all the time, but having someone do actual studies and research, and present it in a straight-forward quality manner is really unique. Been following this channel for a while now, and it's really one of the most credible and honest platform out there. Great stuff! I want to say thank you for all of your time and energy you put in, and can't wait the story to continue. :)

It will be so cool for you to see it all in person. Because of all this preliminary work your mind will be very sharp for anamolies. You will have basically memorized most of the structure before even seeing it.

if you're planning a trip to the kings chamber, a hand held ultrasonic metal thickness meter could be programmed for granite (5950 mps), they are cheap, easily obtained and would be easy to sneak in, testing wouldn't cause any damage so you could see how the second doorway brick thickness compares the rest of the wall,

Thank you! I enjoyed this examination of the Kong’s Chamber very much! I can’t wait to see the next installment on this subject!

I was having withdrawals. Thanks for giving me my “ fix” for the day lol 😂

This has become my favorite channel and always gets a instant click on any new posts. You have a talent for relentlessly digging for more info unlike others who just repeat the same info over and over again. If you revisit the same subject it’s always something new and interesting. Cheers to you sir!

Had no idea sarcophagus was at such an angle. Mystery after mystery. Good work!!!

I love the model you built of the king's chamber! It's so well done and helpful in visualizing the structure. Your theory of the second entrance really makes a lot of sense. As always, you back it up with sound research. Excellent video! 👍😊💕💕💕

Didn't a Japanese team discover a potential lower-density anomaly on the North wall of the Queen's Chamber as well? I think there are similar non-load-bearing blocks, too.

With the recent news of the outer entrance corridor, with a curious step up that brings you in-line with the Queen's Chamber, it's easy to imagine a Royal Circuit as Houdin asserts. I can't wait to see what they discover.

definitely interesting theory. however there are some issues. like why would mr moon give a crap about lose of life if it wasnt his and stop digging under the block? id think he would be threatening lives if they didnt keep digging unless it was a grave robber local 432 union job. lol. next your physical theory makes sense mostly except for for a few things like pushing at that angle would only get it to the opening but then would need to be straightened prior to entering which in reverse id say if it came from there im pretty positive the builders would have given it that final nudge to square it up to the room since after building an impossibly perfect structure i'd hate to think they gave up and said screw it lets get outa here already. lol 2nd- going along their attn to detail and perfection i cant see them leaving the floor gouged.

Love the density anomalies part of the model, fantastic idda, it really helps to visualize your theories better! Thanks for your rfforts!😁

Some info that might relate to this subject. On page 305 of Smyths, life and work at the Great pyramid, a Mr Inglis measured the chamber wall blocks, the block in question is 42.6 inches wide. Given the coffer is 38.50 wide (Petrie), there is clearance. Incidentally, you state that the coffer can not pass through the chamber entrance, this is incorrect, as the entrance is 41.5 wide; the coffer cannot pass the junction of the AP/DP junction, which is only 38.2 wide (Petrie)

The main difficulty could be the thick granite floor level, this varied from 42.94 to 40.65 below the first course level, the coffer having a height 41.31 (see page 28 Petries revised editon) a variation of 2.29. Petrie states that this variation is not down to the excavation under the floor as the floor is 1.5 inches higher at the undermined part than the S.E corner. Hope the above is of some help.

The most objective and well researched channel on this topic, by far.
I look forward to each and every video you make.

Kudos.
