You may not be able to punch like Superman, but you could punch like Batman

Saying your body has limits is not an excuse to not try and reach them and surpass them.

lol you forgot to tell your viewers that it takes about a decade of proper training and diet to achieve your genetic limits... and thats assuming you're eating and training at the most optimal level.. dont ever get discourage by your genetics... you dont know what they are until you act. go all the way.

*The Key To Power*

By doing 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and 10 kilometers of running every day, then eating healthy and never using an air conditioner be it summer or winter to strengthen one's mental fortitude.
True power of humanity is not messing around with evolution, but their ability to change themselves on their own.
Only then you can achieve God like strength.

For those who think this is unfair, you also have to remember that as your muscle mass increases, your heart does not.  People with a severe lack of Myostatin also have intense heart problems and barely ever live past 35.

Its a game of give and take.

I know many genetically skinny people who find it hard to gain muscle mass actually can get big and ripped with the right training and recovery. Don't let this video or genetics stop you because even if you're naturally thin or fat looking like a model is possible AND realistic for normal people. I follow a program called Athlean X. I am not a sponsor for the program but it puts the science back in training and the coach is a very reputable trainer. 10/10 highly recommend!

What about strength development? There are plenty of surprisingly strong people that are not particularly muscular.

I don't like the tone of this video. Its not fictitious but its very one-sided. "Arnold was just naturally muscular as a teen" BS, he didn't pop out like that. He got there from working out hard as hell day in and day out. You can see his bodybuilding story on youtube.

I don't doubt there are genetic differences, but this video is basically supporting people who think they're just "hard gainers" when really they're not eating enough or hitting the gym as hard.

Nice to see youtube science shows promoting each other.

I honestly don't care about how large my muscles are, just that i'm healthy and live a happy live. Some people ruin that, by taking drugs to enhance their muscle strength.

Rage against the gym machine and let your body know it has no choice. Regardless of how long it takes, continuous intense workout will yield results. You don't need any supplements or drugs, just eat well and push it more at each workout.

So what's the point of Myostatin?
How is that going to help the specimen?

I love how short and informational these videos are

Need to make a point clear though. ASAP says Arnold looks ''naturally muscular'' on the picture at 1:35. Like in the way that he got that muscle because of his genes and witouth working out. If you watch some of his documentaries, this picture comes along multiple time and he has been working out and lifting weights for years prior to that picture.

The thing is. Genetics play a role, an important role in building muscle and getting good physique. But i feel like everyone can get an impressive physique regardless of genetics. People simply blaim their lack of succes by telling others and more importantly themselves that they have their genetics to blaim, basically to protect their ego so they don't feel bad about sitting on the couch all day and watching tv while hammering away tons of junkfood.

It doesn't matter. You can get muscular and pretty big no matter your genetics. It's good for survival. Don't use this as an excuse "Oh i'm skinny as fuck, no way I can get at least a decent arm size! :((((". No, just freaking WORKOUT, EAT, REST, IMPROVE,  rinse and repeat.

Myostatin is needed to regulate muscle growth. As cells divide, their telomere ends shorten, which contributes to aging.

If you go to the gym, the individual muscle cells is get larger. You don't actually need more muscle cells, just bigger ones.

The gene is actually called the MSTN gene, and GDF-8 or Growth Differentiation Factor 8 is another name for the protein Myostatin. Also, myostatin is also expressed (at low levels) in the heart to prevent hypertrophy of the heart. Conversely, an increased concentration of myostatin is found in patients with heart failure or dilated cardiomyopathy (a weakened, enlarged heart). What this all means, is that blocking myostatin could be beneficial for people with heart disease, but there is a possibility it leads to heart disease in healthy people. Our genome contains the MSTN gene for a reason and it's tightly regulated, so don't mess with it.
