5:15 RTX 6600 🤣
Those mistakes seem to happen to steve quite regularly right now. Probably becausel the current GPU market and NVIDIA are eating away Steves sanity

If the RX 6600 sold for 250-300$ it would have been the best GPU of the decade. Consumes 100W, can be undervolted to reduce it further down, it performs excellent at 1080p and very well at 1440p, runs cool and quiet. Just wonderful.

I remember how, back in 2019, I patiently waited for a very good deal on the RTX 2060, and finally buying it for just 280 euros (I just had to upgrade my good ol' GTX 760, which eventually ended up in my overkill Windows XP retro build). Little did I know at the time that this would be one of the best PC purchasing decisions of my life. 🤣

I would have rather seen a chart with all the cards ranked by performance, and then show their average cost. Then you can decide if that extra cost is worth the performance gain.

My 6900 XT for $999 was a steal, I guess. My fiance got an upgrade from a 1060 to 1080, and we sold the 1060 for it's MSRP 5 years later. It was going for more than that online at the time.

I'm glad I was able to pick up a 6800 for £600 at launch, was slightly over priced at the time but compared to now a real bargain for what you get.

I bought a Vega 64 for 300 bucks 3 years ago.
That's going to be my graphics card for the rest of my life, it seems.

Nice objective summary for the current conditions. Remember when the 6600 and 6600xt launched with luke warm reviews because it was "too much money for a 1080p card?" Now its probably the best 'value' 1080p card with an even higher price.. 🙃

My 1060 rig is doing just fine for now. I’m genuinely loving the ease of use these new consoles offer. The series x and ps5 connected to an lg oled for all my story games and the 1060 pc is still good enough for all my fast paced esport games

What a brilliant finish this video has on it, I think .... yeah definitely, this is my favourite show you guys have produced so far in 3+ ish years of watching. Appreciate! Thanks Steve and Tim.

It's finally nice to see a video that took in account for realized prices. Thank you! For longest time... I couldn't understand why anyone was recommending 3080, Ti, or 3090 in comparison to 68XT or 69XT. I know it's most Nvidia using shady tactics with bs MSRP, but that's what they do.

I got super lucky and traded a 5700 for a 6700XT when they were the same price. Excellent trade for me who cares zero for crypto mining ✌️

Copped a brand new rx6600 a month ago, and been really happy with it @ 1080p. My previous card was 1060 & the performance jump was 😁👍

"It's going to age like milk"
My new favorite catch phrase!
On the GPU front, I am sporting an RTX 3060... but I didn't get fleeced, I bought mine in May 2021 for $389 thanks to the EVGA queue.

At the time of the launch of the 6700XT I was upgrading my wife's PC. Here in NZ the 6700XT was about $200 cheaper than the 3070 at the time and as a historically consistent Nvidia buyer I was hesitant to go to AMD. Knowing she didn't care about ray tracing, I decided to go with the 6700XT. It has been great for her 1080p 144hz gaming though, with plenty of headroom moving forward. Am happy with the purchase and am sure that if we decide to upgrade her to 1440p, the 6700XT will go well. No regrets at all.

Good review Steve. Still priced way out of my range for these, so I shall keep on trucking with my lower end 570 series. I have a feeling that most of these will be considered the lost generation of graphics cards, when the 4000s and 7000s roll out here shortly, as people will just skip over these and try to snatch them up instead.

Thanks Steve for resuming the big benchmark videos. Should be interesting to see where these cards land a year later with driver improvements.

I’m so grateful to have gotten the Radeon RX 6800 for $580 USD

I was feeling pretty smug about my 1080 Ti purchase back in 2017 through this whole shortage. That is, until it literally blew up (smoke and all) earlier this week. Out of warranty so now I’m in the same boat as everyone else needing a GPU. I ended up doing the one thing I never thought I would. I bought a prebuilt, albeit one that uses all off the shelf components. It was getting to be time to build a new rig anyway being the old one was 5 years old, and adding up the price of all the components as if it was a DIY, I actually got the GPU at MSRP so I’m calling it a win.
