Jesus... been changing strings on guitars for decades and I never thought about using a capo to temporary keep the string in place while you wind the tuners (to pull the new string tight/taut). Love it.

THANK YOU! I got the low E string on with way too much effort before looking this up. I see how this will simplify my life. There will be much less colorful language while I finish changing my strings.

FINALLY A USE FOR MY CAPO. Got my first bigsby guitar after years of only strat and FR styles. It was an absolute breath of fresh air even changing the strings is easier, and i can tune to whatever i want whenever and maintain stability by simply depressing and pulling the bar and retuning several times..

The key to his tech tips I using the capo to hold the string in place--it's like having a third hand! Thanks!

I strung a guitar with a Bigsby for someone years ago. Forgot what a horrible awkward job it was. Just bought a guitar with a Bigsby & found your video after repeatedly having the 1st string I attempted to put on constantly pinging off. The capo tip did the trick. Thank you so much. I will sleep more peacefully tonight. BTW. Nice lick.

Thanks very much for putting this together and making it so concise. You pointed out at least two critical things I was doing wrong.

Oh god THANK YOU for making this video. I was trying to mine and the end kept coming off the post. I felt like I was going to throw my guitar across the room. After I watched this I got some pliers, pinched the ring at the end, and then bent the string around them. Worked perfectly. And the capo was an enormous help.

I wasn't expecting Bad Horsie riff...amazing!
Btw: now I won't bother having a Bigsby equipped guitar.
Excellent video.

Takes it for a test ride, doesn't touch the Bigsby! :)

New to Bigsbys, am a Strat trem. guy, nice, straight to the point, how-to.What about locking tuners, have these on a 335 w/Bigsby, any string twisting, start over, take up slack, lock lightly, carry on, think this trem.had too many negative comments, it is fun, not a contraption
