If pressing Volvo button in rear view gets you fast blinking green, hold for 20 sec until turns orange, then press the remote garage door opener until Volvo light flashes green fast, done. Press Volvo button twice. Now it works! Ignition does not need to be on.

Tried this and the Homelink site without success. My opener has a revolving code which makes programming especially difficult. My gate opener has minimal security so it was easy to program.

Follow your opener's instructions. With so many openers and program instructions these instructions are dated.

1990s maybe early 2000's openers didn't have the roaming security so you could use these instructions.

Newer openers, follow your opener's instructions.
