This video worked on my 2010 Toyota Tundra. I watched many videos on how to program my home link mirror and this is the only video that worked. It more than likely works on other Toyota models with the same setup.

Thank you! Totally different from written instructions I had found that were specific to my car and my garage door opener. Tried this once and it worked right after my first attempt!

What about without a garage door opener?

Why would I put the garage door opener in learn mode and then remove the car from the area before proceeding? The opener cannot learn what it cannot receive.

What if you don't have the garage door opener remote ???

1. Press and hold the homelink buttons 1 and 3 in your vehicle until the light rapidly flashes, then release (this resets previously paired codes).

2. Click and hold the garage door opener remote and click and hold your choice of homelink button in your car until homelink light rapidly flashes, then release (make sure remote is a couple inches from your mirror when doing this).

3. Click and hold the garage door unit program/learn button for 2 seconds then release (blue or purple, etc light should flash slowly).

4. Click and hold the homelink button in your car for 2 seconds then release. Repeat this process once (2 seconds is counted 1, 2 and release when you hit 3).

You can do this with car off and inside the garage.
