When it comes to Ghanaian food... Since it is difficult to get the calories exact it's best to reduce portion size or eat meals 3 to 4 days a week.. And half fast the other days.. Eg eat banku today and tomorrow eat fruits and veg and light meals.. Roasted plantain and stuff like that then the day after have ampesi then skip another day for maybe small pack of indomie.. Days you eat light can be a day of koko for breakfast and roasted plantain afternoon.. The days you eat a meal you may wanna drink just a cup of milo on its own in the morning and have your fufu later in the day.. And avoid consuming a lot of fruit juice.. Pack in with fruits which can fill you up as well.. Thanks Jess for your information.. Great video as always.. 👍🏾✌🏾

Very informative thanks for sharing. SparkPeople has an online recipe calculator so you can put individual ingredients in and how many servings you are getting out of it and it will tell you the calories in each serving. If you can’t find an ingredient you can input the nutritional value on the label or you found on Google and it will add it to the recipe.

You can adjust the servings until you get it in the range you want then divide your food into that many bowls and you can get really accurate numbers

great video. but i think each person has different metabolism. maybe one has to know their metabolism rate (as per your normal day activities) then they can tell how much calories per serving they should consume to remain or become fit, else you may just over starve yourself hehehe. you can test for Basal metabolic rate (BMR) in a lab or manually with a math formula or online calculator (just search online). normal rate is about 1400 for women and 1800 for men. if your result is higher then consider reducing your daily calories. online you could get corresponding calories intake against your BMR rate. Hope my little research helps. All references duly observed.
