And their definition of Sola Scriptura changes depending upon which prot you’re arguing with as well as the argument you put forward disputing it. Ridiculous.

I like Allie's show but George wiped the floor with her. I used to be protestant and now I can look back and see that protestantism is a good starting point but at some stage you have to move and become more spiritually mature and get a complete picture of christianty which is what the catholic church is.

He destroyed Allie. Calvinism is from Hell.

Denominations don’t save you, Christ alone is the way. Follow the God of Israel and you will never be lost.

So this guy is Candace Owens' husband?

Sola is the way to go, if you going to debate a Muslims or even a Protestant you have to use Sola Scripture there’s no point for any other book you can’t.. The Bible stands by itself.

Why would you lose books from the Old Testament by following sola scriptura?

The extra books that are in catholic Bible (7) are all from old testament and do not influence my faith

I wish Chuck Missler was still alive so you could have dialogue with him. I believe he had the best grasp on scripture. He was also very humble and encouraged not to believe him but to do your own discoveries.

I'm protestant and keep it like that, Jesus is the only intercessor to the father respect to Mary but she's not intercessor

The greatest argument for any faith is the effect on one’s life. As a Christian that was raised Catholic I never left the Catholic Church I just found the power of a transformed life to be more important than the name on the door. The catholic faith I grew up in had no power to change me. What the world needs more than church denominations is transformed lives, but once the effect has begun we all need a Church, a pastor, a community. Godbless

Romans 8:1-2 KJVS
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

We are saved by faith alone. Galatians 3:22 KJVS
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

'The just live by faith'. The catalyst that pushed Luther to fight back against the tyranny of the papacy.

This strikes me as Catholic dishonesty. The scripture only say “faith alone” EXACTLY, once, but supports it throughout the New Testament.
Romans 3:28
"For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law."
This verse is a cornerstone for the doctrine, clearly stating that justification is through faith, not by adhering to the law.
Ephesians 2:8-9
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
This emphasizes that salvation is a gift from God, received through faith, and not earned by human effort.
Galatians 2:16
"Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified."
Paul explicitly denies justification by works, affirming faith in Christ as the sole basis for justification.
Galatians 3:11
"Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for 'The righteous shall live by faith.'"
Quoting Habakkuk 2:4, this verse stresses that righteousness comes through faith, not law-keeping.
Romans 4:5
"And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness."
This verse highlights that faith, not works, leads to righteousness before God.
Philippians 3:9
"And be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith."
Paul contrasts self-earned righteousness with the righteousness that comes through faith in Christ.
Theological Themes
Abraham's Faith
Romans 4:3: "Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness."
Genesis 15:6: This Old Testament reference, quoted in Romans and Galatians, demonstrates that Abraham's justification was through faith, predating the law.
The Thief on the Cross (Luke 23:39-43)
The thief expresses faith in Jesus, and Jesus promises him salvation without the thief performing any works.
Habakkuk 2:4
"The righteous shall live by his faith."
This Old Testament prophecy is foundational for the New Testament emphasis on justification by faith.
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
Faith in Christ is the only condition mentioned for eternal life.
John 5:24
"Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment but has passed from death to life."
Again, belief is the sole criterion for salvation.
Clarifications and Controversies
While the Bible emphasizes faith, passages such as James 2:24 ("You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.") are often cited in opposition. James, however, focuses on the evidence of faith through works, not a denial of justification by faith. The relationship between faith and works is understood as faith being the root of salvation and works being the fruit.

I enjoyed watching the debate too.I’m praying for Candace’s conversion to the Catholic Church! Girl, come home! Lol! I truly believe George has a BIG role to play in Candace’s conversion. And I hope Matt Walsh and Michael Knowles can help guide her along the way. Come on

Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one may boast"

If you need Faith + Works then what was the purpose of Jesus being broken on the cross? Didn’t he pay it all?

Works is the fruit of our salvation not the root of our salvation

Wow. Only 57 comments to this point. I love and respect the diversity of Christian expression found in, i will venture to say, most denominations. To wring my hands to complain about the diversity would be to complain that not all flowers are roses.
Most Protestants have left off protesting the excesses and sins of the 15th century Catholic church. Most don't realize giving to a prosperity [false] gospel preacher is the equivalent of an indulgence...
Most Protestants still find many central doctrines of Catholicism to be problematic. I would enumerate but i hope everyone knows their own faith position.
I most deeply appreciate the Catholic clarity and position on life: sacred upon conception.
Wish i could find more common ground, but your traditions are a barrier to me. When we all get to Heaven, we will see things much more clearly. Till then, God bless us, every one.
