It's simply that i no longer believe any church follows the Bible authentically. Thats it really. Thats probably why i left the church all those years ago.

Left protestantism, became Catholic, and for that reason almost everyone around me started judging and throwing offenses at me, then i got a trauma called social anxiety disorder, pray for me, please.

my man, i have been a 20 yr protestant, and started seeing exactly what you describe. i finally got sick of the confusion and disunity so finally actually looked into the Catholic church. And my mind was blown at how clear things became. Now i am heading to the Catholic church

1:20 let me give some context here, Martin Luther was trying to reform the church. You might notice Reforming is a different word than Splitting. Martin Luther believed in the Catholic Church but also believed that they had wandered off of the path that Jesus set out for the Church, so in his effort to reform the church; he was booted out of the Roman Catholic Church which meant there was only one way to go which was creating a new church that believed in what Scripture teaches and nothing unnecessary.

A very good summary. Was a Protestant Christian who was fed so many untruths about Mother Mary, statues, reconciliation, rites etc. Glad to find my way back home to Rome.

I haven’t been to any church in 5 years. But after certain events have taken place in my life I have been more drawn to read the Bible and now I want to go back to church. I have been through the carnival of churches and frankly I never felt like there was any order in those churches. I really do long for order and decency. I think I am going to go to my first catholic mass (hopefully they will be gracious to me). Thanks again!

It’s quite uncharitable to reduce Protestantism to the behaviors of the minority.

Excellent explanation of Church authority. As a recent convert to the Catholic Church (bless Jesus) from Judaism I did not struggle with the authority of The Church. God's authority and the structure of His earthly authority was well established in my Jewish home from the time I was born. I certainly had many other struggles on my way to Jesus and His Church. Through the years I've had opportunity to know protestants and I've witnessed most of them growing discontented with their church for various reasons and then making the decision to find another protestant church that charmed them for the moment. Your argument here makes a lot of sense. The world surrounding us pulls toward division yet we are called to be one. We have a lot of work to do!

"Sola Scriptura" and the "right of private interpretation" have created a free-for-all in the Protestant world. I became Catholic at the recent Easter Vigil, so I'm very recently out of the Protestant world. The chaos is absolutely real. I was just engaging yesterday with two men who claim Christ and provided me their voluminous reasons why Christianity supports homosexual behavior. It all boils down to private interpretation and everyone being their own authority. They said, "Paul was wrong about a lot of things." "Christ never spoke about homosexuality, " etc. When everyone is their own ultimate authority, there is not authority, and Christianity loses all reasonable definition. As I considered becoming Catholic, there were some teachings I was uncomfortable with, but I realized that I can't say I'm submitting to an authority unless I actually submit to a teaching I don't yet agree with. When I realized that, my path to Rome became obvious. I didn't want to be my own Pope anymore. Sorry, Luther.

I've spent most of my time asking where in the Catholic doctrine and dogma do they source their traditions and authority, and they take far longer to answer than Protestants with their amazing ambiguity and logic leaping hermeneutics to answer than Protestants who answer with short, simple and scriptural evidence and context.

Catholicism is the largest "Trust me bro" religion in the world.
Protestantism is the "It's not me who says, it's God who says, and here is where He says it and here is where he explains it, affirms and assures it. Read His Word, don't rely exclusively on what others tell you but trust in His self attesting revelation".

Yeah, Protestantism does not make sense; if you're a Catholic, because you're conditioned to be bias and engaged in the church and its authority which tells you what to believe and do; even if it violates common sense and scripture. A different religion means a different mentality, understanding and behavior, and that means Protestantism doesn't make sense because they don't have that evil church, they have scripture as their authority and so they have Christ.

I think I'll choose to be part of the True Church of Jesus Christ instead of Catholicism which cannot save.

Great video! My family and I are Catholic converts. This sums up everything we went through trying to become Catholic! For me personally, finding out the truth about the Eucharist was what did it for me. I wanted His real presence! Thank you Lord for your Church!

Really enjoyable and truthful content on what being a protestant christian is, I also travelled on the same path as you and your family. I embraced the Catholic Church nearly 14 years ago and now I'm home where I always should have been.

Just discovered your channel. I look forward to binging your videos. I'm a cradle catholic returned to the faith 3 years ago and I am in awe of the many converts who are injecting electricity and passion into the church.

I am Protestant. Have been one all my life. I went frome casual churchgoer to full believer by the grace of the Lord Jesus. I have listened to Catholic preachers and sermons and read up on some of the Churche's doctrines and traditions, and safe to say I still remain Protestant. Thank you Lord Jesus for keeping me open-minded yet still affirmed in my Faith

You mentioned democracy. I remember watching a video where Bishop Fulton Sheen says that Christ gave democracy a chance when He asked, "who do they say that I am?" Nobody was able to answer correctly. Then He gave aristocracy a chance, but all of the apostles remained silent when He asked' "who do you say that I am?" Then Peter answered alone and said, "You are the Christ the Son of the living God." Bishop Fulton Sheen said it is a Theocracy. He said that in a video titled, "Peter the vicar of Christ."

I took similar path to yours, J to P to C. I cant really add to what you've said, you're really well spoken. I will say I am grateful to all the Protestants in my life for showing me charity and teaching me all they understood of the faith. Even though eventually I found the fullness of Truth elsewhere. Bless you in your YT ministry, it has helped me in understanding my own journey, and I'm sure I'm not alone. 😊

One of the main reasons I am Protestant is the belief that church is not an authority over one’s personal relationship with The Holy Trinity that is stated by the scriptures.
There is no other authority other than God and Christ.
