And even Dutch Fruittella sweets. At about half of what they cost here in NL.

I think groceries may be much more expensive in far East of Russia than in Piter or Moscow.

8:28 - you can even buy german bretzel or krutzels in the Far East of Russia!! Omg, I'm amazed!🤩 💃 And they are packed in bags with the typical bavarian blue-white diamond pattern. Have you ever had bretzels? If not, please try them. They are delicious, phantastic! You can eat them offhandedly, with processed cheese, bavarian cheese spread or with cheese like Gouda, Edam cheese, camenbert and grapes. Some people eat them with chocolate. Bretzels are typical and very well known here, in southern parts of Germany and Alsace a kind of national dish. Maybe you find even frozen bretzels for crisping up in your grocery stores. 👍

Love your content champion. You said $2 is 120 roubles but I think you meant 164 roubles which is according to the figures you have in your video $1 = 81, 63 roubles. If I'm wrong, apologies in advance. 🇬🇧

Hi Denis. I went shopping yesterday. I bought 1/2 gallon (1.89 liter) of milk for $1.45 USD (111.22 rubles). 12 eggs for $2.01 USD (154.17 rubles). 1 loaf (567 gram)bread $1.99 (152.63 rubles) and bananas for $0.69 (52.92 rubles) per 500 grams. That is example of some prices in my area in the USA. Take care my friend!

This video is May 2023. Are prices higher now? Inflation is still high. I like buns!!😅

I think you mixed the titles up. This isn’t a mall. And Terranova wasn’t a grocery store.

The prices are just a little less than the USA but Russians earn 1/5 the American salary on average or less. How do Russians live on their salary?

Hi Denis!
First of all: Your english is pretty good in the meantime! You learned very much in the last months. I'm proud of you (and you can be proud of you as well!).

Some examples for food prices in Germany near Frankfurt, Friday morning I went shopping in a discounter (our Discounters have their discounter-brands and others. Discounter prices are usually lower than supermarket prices). Actually 1 € is 87, 24 Rubel.

1 l milk (3, 5 % fat) 1, 49 €/129, 98 Rubel, toast bread (discounter brand) 1, 19 €/103, 81 rb, potatoe crisps(chips, 150 g, brand) 1, 99 €/173, 60 rb, coliflor 2, 39 €/208, 50 rb, tomatoes (1, 99€/173, 60 rb per kg), spaghetti (500 g, discounter brand) 1, 49 €/129, 98 rb, eggs (6, middle class) 1, 49 €/129, 98 rb, sour cream/smetana (150 g) 0, 89 €/77, 64, beef (500 g, already cut) 6, 49 €/566, 16 rb, aubergine/eggplant 0, 79 €/68, 92 rb.

For 2 $ (1, 78 €) you could have a breakfast, e.g. 1 - 2 simple buns (wheat), an apple or one other fresh fruit, an egg.

For butter (250 g) you have to pay between 1, 49 €/ 129, 98 and 3, 49 €/304, 46 rb! Bread at a bakery (1 kg, raye) is 3, 60 €/314, 05, but the quality is much better than for bread and buns from a supermarket or discounter. For a simple bun (wheat) you pay 0, 40 € /34, 98(in a discounter sometimes only 0, 17/14, 83 rb €).

For honey (500 g) from a local producer you have to pay 7 €/610, 66 rb, sometimes more than 8€/697, 89 rb. In a supermarket you pay around 3, 50 €/305, 33, but the quality is bad: This "honey" is a mixture of honey from different countries, primarily from China, with 50 % sugar sirop and much water! Important to know: China uses tonnes of herbizides and insecticides which kill not only bugs, but bees as well. So they do not have enough bees to sell honey and they add sugar sirop.

We have free market economy here, prices for food etc. change often and are depending on offer and demand, shop (supermarket, discounter), brand, quality, daily special offers, sometimes on region where you live. So we usually buy different goods when they are cheap, keep them in our storage room if possible or I prepare meals in advance for several days.

Stay safe Denis and looking forward to hear and see from you 👋🌍
