Does life in Russia after sanctions mean no more Western brands? I went to a typical Moscow mall and found many western products still available.

The fact that you went to a nail salon to hear gossip is so funny yet genius to me

This is the type of real reporting that we will not see on big US networks. And as long as the average public is blind to these truths, the greed of the big business will continue unchecked. Good job my friend! 👍

As a South African, when Western countries pulled out of South Africa due to apartheid in the 1980s, it was very similar. You could find all the same brands, just under a different label. I can remember our computer being an ISM (not IBM), etc.

As a Russian person living in Moscow, I must say that almost nothing has changed.
Luxury brands that declared their withdrawal are still supplying their clothing and accessories into department stores and outlets.
Well, they don’t supply parfumés and makeup, but that can be easily ordered through nearby countries. Indetex group is now working on reopening their stores ( they just do a rebranding, changing names of the stores 😂)
The situation with cars is a bit more complicated, however if you want, you will buy a brand-new Mercedes in a partner dealership store.

Yes, 95% brands are still in Russia under new brand sign. This new brand sign is only at the entrance to the store, the items remain with the original brand signs.

I live in Russia and I can’t be more happy with this. People’s mind finally go from buying brands, to actually look for quality. Brands don’t matter any more, which is just great!

"So Coca-Cola managed to leave Russia and stay in Russia at the same time" Coke really said, *"I'm playing both sides, so that I always come out on top."* It's truly a big, missed opportunity for Stars Coffee to choose Stars Coffee as the name instead of *TSARBUCKS* Coffee. Like, hello? Tsarbucks was RIGHT there! It's more fitting for Russia, after all. Also, it's irony that potatoes for fries had to be imported to Russia, considering that Russia is famous for growing potatoes.

And the thing about Coca-Cola HBC is they're originally a Greek company (H in HBC means Hellenic), and the reason they moved from Greece to Switzerland in the first place was because of the Greek economy, but by leaving Greece, they made the Greek economy worse (as they made up a fifth of the Athens stock market).

can we appreciate how nice and well informed the employees are??

Strangely enough, one western fast food business actually moved in under its own name from the heart of Queens, McDowell's.

Отличный контент, которого не найти ни в западных ни в Российских СМИ. Качество репортажа и съемки, которому позавидуют многие каналы.

Western brands leaving Russia was the dumbest virtue signal of all time. What is it supposed to accomplish? They're just going to open a copycat of your company and make the money themselves. Lol

This type content needs to somehow be seen across the globe so people can see how these companies really operate and see how these sanctions are more ineffective that they say .

Well filmed and produced! Felt like a prime time episode I’d see on TV. Kudos on getting through the mall and getting footage. Great editing too.

You should also do a video on how foreign brands reinvent themselves in order to enter the Indian market. They have to go through several branding changes and sometimes joint ventures with established Indian brands.

"Yo Ivan, can we go to Starbucks?"
"No comrade, we got tsarbucks"

I work in the IT service sector for an Australian MNC. Earlier EU used to provide support to Russia in our project. Now I do it from India. Same company, different ways!

Malls like this look incredibly similar all around the world. It's just like airports. Here in Italy, a recently renovated two story mall i've been last week, looks almost the same, with mostly the same brands (well, except for rebranding).

Definitely a professional quality news report in my opinion. God bless and stay safe.

Congratulations and thank you for this video. Finally someone went in a mall in Moscow. The idea is so simply but the impact of truth is huge. This video should be seen on Tv.
