Exactly.. I have been carrying a 40 cal Glock on duty for over 26 years.. I have no problem qualifying with it on the range every year.

I was going to say the 40 S&W isn't a compromise at all. Nicely done Sir.

Thank you ! Your probably the first YouTube gun channel to highlight this. 40 is more powerful ! All you have to do is read the box ! It's always blown my mind that people say it's an in between round

Finally a guy who says what I've been saying for years about the .40 S&W

Hey YankeeMarshal, thank you for not being a .40 S&W hater, it is a great all around caliber. I myself have a Glock 22 and I absolutely love shooting it, but I got the big brother 10mm Glock 20 and I like it even more.

I never understood the prejudice that people have for the .40sw. Any round you carry is better than a phone call when seconds count.

Honestly, at the end of the day, regardless of what caliber we decide to carry, can't we just be happy with the fact we are flexing our second amendment right and keeping ourselves safe?

Love my .40s. And my 9s, and my 45's and my 10mm. Just buy and what you like that you can afford, and practice with it.

When the bullets start fly'n all that caliber shit and trigger jobs goes out the window. Train what you carry. Carry what you train with.

Thank you, finally somebody said it! 9mm is fine if your not comfortable with .40, but .40 is a better round!

The 45, 40 and 9mm are all very good self defense rounds. As a police officer, the 40 does certain things for on-duty purposes that is better than both the 9mm and 45 (will not ricochet). I do like the 45 and 9mm for off-duty use as well as 38 spl +p, but at the end of the day you cannot go wrong with the 40 in any scenario. Your breakdown in this video is excellent! And I agree that I personally would avoid +p ammo in semi autos whenever possible.

You are absolutely RIGHT! I carry a .40 S&W because it is close in performance to my .357 mag. and unlike .357 Sig the ammo is more readily available and a lot less expensive. USMC

I love the 40 S&W... As long as they sell it, I will carry it..

Why can't we all get along and agree that .45 GAP is pointless

40S&W is what I carry. Stats are there and I love the way it shoots.

I also like how you can often get drop in 9mm conversions for many handguns. I definitely think .40 S&W is a efficient round, it did great as a law enforcement round for about 25 years with few complaints.

I can agree. the handling alone between the .40 and .45acp is why i chose the .40 as well.

You are absolutely correct. In my DOD police department we had M&P 40s, and yes they are good for barriers, which you need for police work.

Amen. Keep preaching the truth! The funny thing about caliber arguments is that most people have no clue what they are talking about. And, honestly, who cares. Fire what you are comfortable with.

I always took it that by "compromise" they meant it was more powerful than a 9mm without the capacity limitations of the .45.
