Sad to hear about P&O coming to an end. There were a few short cruises that i almost went on, but couldnt because i'd already booked a longer cruise and used up all my vacation leave. Hopefully Carnival will continue to sale in Australia along with Princess

The way things are these days, with delays, we always go down a day early. That way, you can check in your hotel and just relax and enjoy, with no worries.

Washy, washy as they say on Royal as you enter the windjammer!!

Major correction Don - P&O Australia is not even a little "British" they are very Australian with seriously good coffee, more diverse food offerings and Australian powers sockets etc.

Retired male RN. I always wash my hands before getting in line to eat and after handling utensils in a buffet I wash my hands--have seen too many people who do not wash their hands. Gross the number of men exiting the bathroom without washing their hands.🤮

Yes Royal Caribbean is very strict about sanitising or washing your hands before entering the Buffet or main dining room, they do it in a pleasant manner (washy, washy, ) with a smile and I haven’t seen anyone refuse to do it. The other cruise lines need to adopt a similar procedure, someone at the entrance supervising

So sad that P and O are going out of business in Australia my husband and I have done many P and O cruises we will miss themhere in Sydney. Luckily we still have a cruise coming up with them but one of our cruises for later next year was cancelled. We have noticed on the cruise lines that people don't seem to be bothered washing their hands on entering the food areas now. We are often the only two doing so. I am pedantic about washing my hands and even wash the handle of my walking stick lol better safe than sorry. We sure don't want to slip back into days of mass outbreaks on board again. They should have crew members other door reminding people to wash their hands as they did just after the pandemic.

We have noticed that we are one of the only ones washing our hands when we enter the buffet as well. So many people just walk right by

Don, we were onboard the Summit May 24-31. My husband was one of the noro virus victims but he didn't actually get sick until the afternoon we got off the ship during our train ride from Seward to Anchorage. Not pretty. Ruined our 4 hour train ride for sure. Probably more got sick that wasn't reported like him. We are avid hand washers...every time at the buffet. And you are right...I saw very few at the hand washing station. The last day of the cruise they stopped self serve at the buffet and started serving everyone. I don't understand why they don't just do that all the time...that would tremendously help solve that noro virus problem. I think all cruise ships should do that. It should be a health dept law for all countries. We made it back home to MS & I didn't get the noro virus but I did happen to get Covid...yes from this trip. Also our luggage was lost 4.5 days. It finally caught up to us in Ketchikan. So we're so glad to get this trip behind us & learned a lot as a result. Thanks for your great videos!

Thanks for your video. Great as always and with you, people have to washy-washy instead of complaining about getting sick because those people who complain about getting sick don’t washy washy! Take care.

We have done a few cruises on P&O out of Australia and they were great...not a fan of Carnival so it's a big shameful us down here

We always arrive at the cruise port the day before and leave the day after. Doing so saves worry.

Agree with you re hand washing. We were on Celebrity Apex a couple of weeks ago and few people washed thir hands before the buffet. The staff took no notice.

With the constant delays with airlines now, it seems the safest thing to do is build a generous buffer cushion both arriving and departing, especially if you don't want to miss a connection.

We were on celebrity Ascent in Europe in May. After a few days, we had a few cases of Nora virus & their strict measures paid off(no longer we served ourselves at the buffet) they were able to get rid of the virus before the cruise ended.

P&O Australia is not related in any way to P&O Uk. Now hopefully carnival at some stage will switch out one of the grand class P&O ships for maybe a Dream or Vista class ships 🛳️here in Aus 🇦🇺

I hope they add them to Holland America as British elegance.
