If the captain would have given into those "protesters" and something bad would have happened to the ship. You know those "protesters" would be out there blaming the Captain because he should have know it wasn't saft to travel into that area and he shouldn't have given in to their demands.

Seems like cruise ships need to implement more redundancy systems to avoid these things

There’s so many cruise ships out there now and getting bigger every year, it’s only a matter of time until a major disaster happens that’ll make the Titanic look like a minor incident.

Parents dragged me on an old ass cruise ship when I was about 11 in 2001. Hit a really rough storm during the night and legit people thought we were going to die. Almost everybody came out of their rooms and gathered at the centre of the ship where the rocking wasn’t as bad but even then everyone’s faces were still terrified, people were throwing up left and right it was a horror show. Scarred me pretty bad and now the sea terrifies me.

I’ll never get on a cruise ship again.

The people protesting because their itinerary was changed to remove Iceland are just plain stupid. Even if you manage to dock during a Hurricane what do you think you are going to do? Just trot off on your shore excursions? 🤦‍♀️

During a Hurricane when you are on land everything just completely shut down. People die during hurricanes which have made land from flying debris.

Last place you want to be is out in the ocean at the mercy of the winds. Boats go out to sea fleeing from hurricanes.
