Most casualties would probably be Farmers who are just cultivating their land and accidentally sees their leg going 10 feet high.

I was trained to sound off with a loud and thunderous "CLAYMORE!!!!" before hitting the clacker.. the idea being when the enemy got to St Peter at the pearly gates he would know why he was there..

US, China & Russia: The three largest standing armies (and three largest weapons exporters) in the world who would most likely bear the highest burden of men & equipment (and stand to make the most money) if WWIII busted out
Pakistan and India: two countries that absolutely HATE each other and are just a few skirmishes away from all out war (and potential "cleansing" operations).

You can figure out why these countries didn't sign off on anything.

Fun Fact: if you signed the paper, it still doesn't matter so long as you win

We used to replace these Claymore mines at every rotation while stationed in the DMZ in Korea. Also we used to do service to these mines and others in the minefields around our area of operations.

Cool story, in 1984 on a live fire training mission in Fort Sherman Panama our objective was to to ambush a column of enemies as they moved down through a gully. (Coveralls filled with balloons). So when we went to the magazine in the morning the army asked if we had a demo tech, well me being the assualtman for our fire team, asked what they had. When he said claymores I said I ll take 'em. He asked how many? I answered back how many do you have, he answered 7. I said all of them😁. So we got in position, I set my mines, and we shot up the"enemy" when they came down the gully hanging on the wire. not a single balloon shred was left. The Soldiers who put on this little simulation for us said not only did you Marines pop all the balloons but we're gonna need new coveralls for out target's...for weeks prior to this operation I had been asking the staff sergeant for ear plugs. On the day of the live fire operation staff sergeant gave me two cigarette butts.
So since then I have heard a high pitched ringing in my ears and have 90% hearing loss in my left ear and 30% iny right. Sometimes it wakes me up at night... cigarette butts are terrible hearing protection. Listen to your safety guy at work, or you'll end up going slowly deaf like me.
Good Times, and Semper Fi

You’ll always remember your first time seeing a claymore go. There’s this moment where everything just kinda disintegrates a moment before the sound. Magical.

Well, claymore mines can add a whole level of confidence in your perimeter defenses. So if it comes down to having some level of safety inside the wire or having my enemy sneak in and cut my throught. I'm going to set the claymores.. it's just that simple.

Interesting, I never new. I love how safe and non-sensitive some explosives are.
