Do I have to confess my sin to another person in order to be forgiven?

I confessed my sin to someone, I trusted this person, she was in a ministry to baptize people, she used to listen to people, and as I was afraid to tell her all my shameful truth, she told me " every time you confess a sin, it leaves you and goes on the cross ". So I did, trying to remember the most I could. After, she drove me in a prayer to renounce all these sins, and I was baptized in water in the name of Jesus. Nothing special happened immediately, but months later, I fell how deep I belong to Christ, I feel part of His family. If I remember some more sin, I confess and repent on my own. I really work to live a pure life to be a clean bride for Christ, but If I ever sin during the week, I confess it to my prayer group, and it increases the trust and brotherhood between us, because we are all the same.

If anyone is reading I want to say I am a big sinner and fall into it a lot knowing it. I regret doing it and I want my relationship with God to be fixed. I eat without faith and have sexual sin problems and even go against conscience a lot. Please pray for me. I want God to love me as His own not just a creature.

You are forgiven because of the grace of God, not because of your ability to confess to other people.

The thief on the cross was already paying for his worldly sins. He even admitted that he deserved his punishment.
He gave what life he had left to Jesus and therefore he went to paradise.

If someone reads this please pray for me. I said some very harsh nasty ugly things to someone I was very angry with. I surprised myself at how awful this was of me as a Christian. I feel horrible and convicted. I repented and learned my lesson to not lash out in anger anymore. Do I need to go to this person and apologize? Or do I just leave it alone to avoid more problems? It was a secular friend that has wronged me many times. Thank you. 🙏♥️🔥

John, I came here skeptical of what you would say, but hearing you tell the church to confess to each other has relieved my heart. Because I’ve been feeling lately that I can’t hold my sin in anymore and so I’ve decided to start telling people and taking the heat from those that I may lose favour with.
