Remember everyone, if you don't float your fish like this they will die from the sudden temperature change
Edit: to everyone saying their fish hasn't died from not floating them( floating is what we called it in my family while I was growing up.) I've been a fish owner since I was a kid, my family has always owned at least 1 fishtank of fish at all times, artificial, LED, natural, you name it. The only times our fishes have died from changing their water or their tank or of the like, is when we didn't float them. Stop risking the lives of your fish

One of the things that surprised me when i was researching aquarium stuff is that you need to grow the right bacteria into the tank before you introduce fish into it and that process takes weeks to months.

I don't have tiger barbs, but is this tank enough for these active fish? Because the floor space looks not very much

Tiger barbs prefer horizontal spaces, though. A tank like that would be more appropriate for life bearers but it's still not ideal.

My 10 tiger barbs love my roma 240 tank. Its nice and long so they can school together and swim back and forth all day. I love how the colours change to a deep red on their fins.

Dude that tank is too small for tiger barbs, let alone an entire school of one. I learnt this the hard way by putting them in a 27.7 liters tank now if i get a bigger tank i will put them in that bigger tank

That’s not big enough for tiger barbs they need a 20-30 gallon tank that isn’t completely in height

I think this is small probably because it's the quarantine tank before they get moved to their new pretty aquarium.

We have some in a library tank at our school, and my dad, who helped set it up, comes in weekly to check on it.

Remember kids, if a tank looks pretty it doesn’t necessarily mean the owner is a good one.

I remember when I bought my fish, we had to take 10 home in a tiny bag, they were in a good size tank at the store.

So we rushed home and plopped them in the tank, it's been 7 years, all of them died but one is still living.

He is very active, he is a beautiful zebra danio (sub tropical)

Fishies: "Can't wait to get out of this bag to explore .. it looks nice out there..." :D

In addition to this, you should open the bag and add some of the tank water in so the fish can get acclimated to the water

Barbs shouldn’t be in a tall skinny tank they like to swim side to side

Remember to introduce a nitrogen cycle before adding fish!

Also, float the bag to temperature acclimate; then at 15 to 20 minute intervals over the course of an hour or so add about a half cup of water into the bag. This is never mentioned and while it may not kill your fish immediately. Over the course of a few days the parameter change will. Even with hardy species.

ALSO…. NEVER EVER pour fish store water into your tank. EVER.
