i remember being a kid and hearing adults talking about "porsh" cars. and when i saw the spelling "porche" i was surprised and confused. 20 years later i was still hearing people call it "porsh" until very recently in a few youtube vids ironically.

Pronunciation depends almost entirely on locality. Both 'Por-shuh' and 'Porsh' are correct within the English language. This has nothing to do with American ignorance. The suffix 'sche' is common in German, its almost entirely absent from the English vocabulary.
I realize I'm not about to convince most trolls out there; but its worth checking out the word 'Tusche'. Note its origin. Free dictionary lists both Tu-shuh and Tush as valid, Merriam-Webster lists only Tush.

As a german I must say the audio in the video is wrong. Sounds more like a german would pronounce it it was spelled PorschA - but it is PorschE.

@1hanzus it is in fact pronounced like porsha. It is german. If you ever call it a porsh in front of a car enthusiasts or a german or a German speaking car enthusiasts they will correct you stating it is pronounced like porsha.
