My dad still pronounces it wrong and he owned many of them. I keep telling him that’s not how you pronounce it. It’s not pronounced Porsh it’s Porsche dad he never listens though speaking of which my first Porsche is a 1999 Porsche 986 Boxster five speed manual I am in love with the car and the brand It drives exceptionally well

I used to belong to the PCA, at one meeting we watched a presentation by Peter Porsche, who pronounced his surname as Por sh, my understanding is that it is pronounced differently in Austria, Dr. Porsches home country then it is in Germany.

I am German and that is definitely not correct. There is no A sound at the end. It irritates the heck out of me when someone says it like it does have an a at the end.

It is NOT German though! Ferdinand Porsche was born in Czechoslovakia. Therefore he was not German and should be pronounced in his native language. Might be the same, but I do love how people think he is German. LOL. Just like people call Hitler German. LMAO
