She is absolutely right. You can’t compare a normal words of your language (like museum) with a brand name. I am German and I get upset if someone says Porsch. Because this is not the name of the company. It‘s Porsche. Germans don’t say Zoza Zola even if we would pronounce a C like a Z. No, we say Coca Cola. Pronounced with a K, because we respect your American brand. In Germany we pronounce an „i“ like an „e“. But we say Microsoft, like you say it. I think it’s all about respect for brands from different country. Show respect for Porsche like we do for Coca Cola. Thank you

American mentality "I want to say whatever I want to."

His argument is as strong as a flat tire.

1:16 "porsche doesn't get the authority on how to say it's own name". dude what are you even saying.

Thank you so much Kristen. I fully support your arguments. A name should be pronounced like it should be pronounced in the language of the name owner. This is respectful.

It's a name. You don't change the pronunciation to match the rules of your own language you maroon! 😂 It is, and always has been 2 syllables.

Wait in the brand video the sound is not an "A" at the end, it is an "E" sound like in "Execution", so is not "Porsha"
it sounds "Porsheh"
It is called "short e" ( ĕ )

Raph probably pronounces quesadilla as kway-sa-dill-a because he thinks there's a different pronunciation in English XD

It's a family name, show some respect for the man who helped shape the car world.

I am pretty certain Professor Porsche knew how to pronounce his last name.

Imagine making a video on how to pronounce something correctly and then you're getting it wrong.
I'm native German speaker.
It's NOT pronounced "Porsh".
It's NOT pronounced "Por-sha". (Joey in Friends got it wrong).
It's pronounced "Porsh-eh". (Pronounced all in one go, no pause before the "eh".)

“Porsche” is a proper noun, for god’s sake. It’s not something you can confuse with “museum”, which is a common noun. Proper nouns are not to be translated and should be pronounced in an original way. As close as possible, anyway.

How does Raph pronounce Peugeot? Pee-yoo-jee-ott?

LOL, Kristen totally buried him in this "cargument"!

It's cool, I have a Porshhh myself. I keep it in the garag. Garag is obviously how it's pronounced because the e is silent in English and why would you pronounce it like it's French just because it's a French word? Same argument for Porshh.

I agree with the woman. The male's argument is flawed.

I think Rap's argument is intended to make her point precisely because it is so absurd. Kristen was right on!

Kristen is right here, "Rallfahel". Porsh sounds more like where you drink your morning coffee. Porsche is a family name, rather than a business name, meaning its pronunciation is not open for discussion. (For reference, even the British say Porsche) Saying Porsh make you sound a bit.... Like how Clarkson would stereotype an American, if he wanted to provoke you. (Lets say, as if you've rolled your beetle a bit too hard without a padded headlining...)

It's only a Porsche if it's a turbo. Anything else is a Porsch.
