3 criticisms I have for Auto World:
1) I wish they had inserted plastic headlights
2) I don't like that side mirrors are lacking on some of the models
3) I wish they modeled more vintage stuff (from the 50's and back)
But other than that I think they're a pretty solid brand based on the few that I bought. Of course I'm a new collector so I don't really have anything else to compare them to. I just wanted something that has more attention to detail and accuracy than you'd get with your typical generic Hot Wheels of Matchbox cars. I also want to check out Greenlight and Johnny Lightning, both of which look like may have some of the more vintage models I'm looking for. I'm particularly interested in accurate to scale, well detailed 1/64 scale American pickup trucks from 1935-1960.

So-it's 2022 and manufacturers with modern design and assembly methods are having problems with opening
features-yet Matchbox in the 1960s were producing cars that had opening doors and hoods that as a rule fit
quite well. I can remember the opening hood on the Opel Diplomat still looked good after a lot of floor racing.

I’d love to see Autoworld start a branch of larger trucks in 1/64 scale, in particular medium-duty trucks and cab over semi trucks

I love Auto World! they are some what of a newer company and I think as they get a little older we will see more makes and models and some other manufactures as well ( at least I hope so). I do try to get every premium release and I have every C8 they have released even the hobby exclusive and the reds, ( no raws) I can't get enuff of that casting from who ever makes it! and I'm a Ford Great video, thanks.

Autoworld makes excellent models. I like to collect more premium 1/64 scale brands but i have a few autoworlds that are nice enough to make the cut for my collection.

AW isn’t widely available in my market (die cast shops only), so I only have two Jeeps. Beautiful castings. Lots of detail, my only complaints are the opening hood gap is very noticeable and the oversized tires on the black JLU prevents it from rolling. But overall, very good quality for a very fair price. And, the windows are usually clear and free from glue and grease!

I too collect auto world but consider it lower in deatil compared to greenlight but only by a bit. Reason is because sometimes greenlight uses more pieces for detail then auto world. Auto world does great American cars though.

I discovered M2 in 2010 at Marshall’s ...the discount Department Store...of all places...there were 3 models from the Barn Finds series that I think they abandoned but everybody from Johnny Lightning to Greenlight have their versions of what they call Projects In Progress or Used Cars...I bought the 58 Plymouth Fury but there was a 67 or 68 Ford Mustang and Dodge Charger Daytona or Plymouth Superbird that I regret buying...the realistic detail was the focus...not a radical paint job with flames or logo, a cartoonish rat fink stance, and a big engine with a blower like more commercial brands would do to most of their castings...adult collectors were in mind when M2 was started...guys who no longer put everything on orange tracks...with the stand and plastic case...on most models...you could put a couple in your den on a coffee table, TV stand, or a desktop at home...even at work but to stay competitive during the past 5 years...they have strayed from just doing showroom cars or daily drivers...you see Gassers and slammed square body trucks...I stopped buying the brand for a while due to Quality Control issues...then got hooked again with the Auto Zone Exclusives sets with the lifts and a killer Chevy Camaro IROC Z!
