AOMEI is amazing. 6 yrs ago, I used the most famous backup program Acronis and ran into issues even after using all the "addons" that they have. Then I used AOMEI backupper and it worked seemlessly and i wanted to give back, so i bought the pro version. now, i wanted to migrate my system from my old pc to a new build and when i tried to go for an approach using the most recommended cloning tool, makrium reflekt, i ran into system issues. however, by sheer luck i encountered this phenomenal video guide, and used aomei using that checkbox option and everything is running smoothly on my new system. What if my new computer (which I want to move my old operating system to) doesn't have an operating system and cannot boot to restore the backed-up operating system (I mean how to restore but not under windows, only via dos) ?

From what I saw in other software from another company, there would be a need to put the drivers, corresponding to the chipset, hdd. . . of the target device, on a USB stick and when restoring the backup of the source device, use the universal restore, selecting the drivers corresponding to the target device to complement the installation. As I understand it, Aomei Backupper would do this automatically, as long as the restore universal option is selected. Is my line of thought correct?

Hi, can I back up my Windows 7 system on a laptop with the 2nd generation processor, and Clone it with the UNIVERSAL option on a new laptop with an 11th generation processor? is it possible? what is the highest processor's generation could be done on it with windows 7 system?

My new PC has an M.2 SSD but AOMEI is not detecting it as an option. It can only detect the USB drive on which I have the bootable app and the external hard drive in which I have the disk image that I want to transfer to the M.2. So, I can't restore the image because the destination is not an option. Why isn't the drive showing up? Is it because there's an existing install of Windows 11 on that drive? I want to overwrite that install.

so yep. In order to transfer old to new which type of backup should I go with? System or disk. (Please, I mush keep all software).

Did this, there was no universal checkbox, i continued anyways, now when booting the PC after moving the partition it starts repairing but it never ends

Here my case, i want to upgrade my mobo. Everything i have is in ssd on old mobo.
1. I will backup the system to ssd and make bootable device on that ssd too?.
2. Ill bot my new mobo with that ssd, and ill instal the windows first from previous ssd? Then restart> open bios and boot that ssd which i back up?

The point is can i instal win10 and back up with one ssd?

I am confused in the 2nd step 3:12. Do I have to create the bootable media of my new computer ( to which I want to move the old computer OS ) or I have to create the bootable media of my old computer ( which I want to move to new computer ).
