When Dave Stovall, formerly of the band Audio Adrenaline met Pastor Bobby Harrington, Dave was a progressive Christian who had already been through deconstruction. Pastor Bobby took an interest in Dave, and began discipling him, eventually leading him back to the historic gospel. Dave and Bobby will join me to talk about what that journey looked like, and take your questions live. Join us on Monday, May 23rd at 5pm pacific/ 7pm central/ 8pm eastern on Facebook and Youtube!

Amen for your sister! I’ve waited and prayed for nearly 10 years for my New Age believing husband to come to Christ Jesus. It’s been just two short months since this prayer came to fruition and it has been remarkable to witness the work God has done in his life. Glory to the Lord. 🙌

Just wanted to thank God for raising you up Alicia to bring awareness to what is happening to the true Gospel and discipleship as it gets more and more watered down. Strength and peace to you always. 🕊🙏

What he said about liturgy becoming more of a person's belief rather than rooted in biblical theology was profound and on point! This happened to me!

Having just heard about Toby Mac - it is good to hear this good news story from Dave Strovall!
Keeping to the Word is the only way to keep to that sure foundation.

Beautiful prayer Pastor Bobby for your sister! I think about brothers & sisters in Christ that are lost in their deconstruction with their faith & pray for them when it comes to mind to me. Thank you for this! God bless you all.
Also a good reminder to not give up on praying for my Father to come back to Christ again.

I like her guest saying "intentional, relational, discipleship". I wish I had this and need it today especially in the current world culture!

Intentional disciple making! How I have longed for it without knowing what to call it! My journey has been all about starts and stops, mostly learning the “culture” of the churches I was part of. My first foray into “relationship” turned out to be leading me into a push toward enneagram, Richard Rohr, and not much substance. I was well into my 60’s before I found a church with verse-by-verse teaching, longer than 20 minutes, no cutesy illustrations but any deviation from the scripture under discussion was to look at corroborating scriptures. Even my Bible study that was my first dive into letting scriptures explain scripture is slowly bringing in elements that get my spidey-senses tingling.

Really love when Dave talked about laerning from the disciples (Apostles) then when you asked about the EV, for me EV is one of the most important thing, that is the GREATEST commission, its from Jesus' mouth, but the most important it is come from the heart of the Father, the lost sheep, its talking about someone who losing something and it is God the Father! If you said exEV ohh man i thing i don't want to call myself a follower anymore, because I know, my motif to share the good news is because the heart of the Father, and i feel it, i remembered how exactly i feel when i didnt know about Jesus, or before i born again, i thing im already dead now, so it is also my heart that brokes to see someone never heard about gospel and just go to hell, oh man, you must come to my country, and see uncount people dieing without knowing Jesus, lets just go back to the idea of a follower, I AM A FOLLOWER OF JESUS NOT A VOLUNTEER!!!!

One of the points of Alisa's book that stuck out to me was for her to say (in perfect wisdom, by the way) that if the gospel wasn't as concrete as it was supposed to be, that she wouldn't have bothered moving toward progressivism anyway, for what would have been the point?...she would have have just walked away from the faith altogether. Been there. That's a pretty profound statement, but also so self-evident, once you think about it. Without all the pieces, the whole thing falls apart.

I've got a granddaughter that had a hurtful religious experience, and she has really embraced the Progressive Christianity doctrine..and she has had a real experience with Christ before this encounter..and I'm trying to be patient with my approach to her..and I'm praying for wisdom..could you maybe give a little nugget for her..thank you

I've noticed the liturgical/progressive drift before, but never been able to articulate it well. Thank you, Bobby, for sharing such a clearly-spoken explanation of it!

That was an interesting observation about how the progressives lean more towards liturgy. I found that too with some friends I know who have become progressive

I'm not sure that "Day" vs. "Age" is such an unimportant debate. Consider the implications to the Gospel if there were disease, suffering, bloodshed, and (especially) death for many millions of years before Adam sinned. That means this fallen creation is simply as God designed it, and the one man is NOT responsible for bringing death into the world, that in fact God is. This would directly contradict Romans 5:12, for one.

Bobby Harrington is into the mystical "spiritual formation" movement, including the infamous enneagram

How can I get in touch with Pastor Bobby Harrington? It sounds like people in his group (when he had the lesbian couple and the progressive Dave Stovall) sounds exactly like the people I'm trying to be a witness to but am not knowing how to do it. I think his further tips would be really invaluable. I took notes on what Dave said - that they were going through some workbook Bible Study called "Renew" and I'll look that up, but any other tips from him or you would be SUPER helpful. My world has a lot of new age, new thought, LGBT and progressives in it; and sober people. So I'm devouring your channel and Melissa Dougherty's material, and Sean McDowell, etc...
