A lot of people think God is only love, but they seem to forget he has great wrath, especially for wolves in sheep's clothing. And yes, God is love, but he sets the terms, not us.

She doesn't seem to understand that our "authentic selves" are sinful, lost, and rebellious people alienated from our Creator. Becoming a Christian means submitting yourself to God and gaining a new identity in Christ.

Mike Winger and Red Pen Logic are by far my two favorite Christian YouTubers. One of only a few that actually follow the command to "Speak the truth in love" and actually combine unwavering allegiance to the Scriptures, with true and authentic compassion for the world/lost. Most channels usually fall short in one of these.

This happens only because "Because being your authentic self" is treated as a greater virtue than "being in obedience to God". Ironically, being obedient is how you can actually be your authentic self.

To limit all loving actions as being "true to self" and "he/she said I could" is really problematic. Putting a tongue depressor in your collar doesn't make you right. Nor does it make you truly Christian.

Real love includes rebuke to redirect those we care about from danger. If you're loved one is doing something that will result in their destruction you don't stand by and just accept it thinking that you are showing them love. You redirect them even if it offends them.

Far too many people today have no clue what true love is. Love is selflessly seeking the good (the most beneficial ) for another person other than yourself. God set the standard & we are to follow Him.

This just reminded me of how many people don't have the correct definition of love. Many still think it's just some deep feeling where you strongly like someone. The problem is that the things we like aren't always good for us. Take the drug addict, for example. Or how about the girl that keeps dating bad boy?

Gotta reinforce the real definition of love.

Well said brother. A recent poll shows that 70 % of people who call themselves born again, do not believe Jesus is the Only Way. If 70 % believe that how many "born again" believers actually know the True Gospel? I speak from experience having grown up in church "thinking" I was a Christian while pursuing and enjoying the pleasures of sin. If I had died then I would bee in He'll. But God was gracious towards me the wretch, broke my hardened sindilled heart, allowed me to tremble before Him and His justice. Then I was born again by His grace, no longer the tare, or foolish virign or rotten fish, but He in His great grace made me His child, after He granted me repentance.

Love will always be telling people the truth. Not telling them a lie and have them confused when they hear what theyre being told is not true
