In Matthew 18:15 Jesus tells us to correct out neighbor if he sins. "Do not judge" is not the pull they think it is

Judging someone is different from judging their actions.

We Christians criticize, but punishing and condemning, that's like not doing the presumption of innocence, then the world is better than us.
Moreover there's specificity and generalizing. Mocking the judger should be specific, mocking in general should be specific for policy. Mocking in general without being specific is generally nuts.
Criticizing in general is not personal, criticizing personally is personal so you got to lay out or point out your case.
Come on Christians we should already know this

I think people are confused between judgment ( which is to feel superior to others) and accountability ( calling out sin in others which may be detrimental to the individual in question or those around them. Sometimes individuals ( from all backgrounds) will use the “ don’t judge me “ cope to deflect from personal sin and accountability. On the flip side, those who are calling out others in sin, need to be sure that that area of their life is clean and that their intention is out of love and not control. ( to make sure the plank is not in their eye).

I think his use that verse from Matthew is meant to be a reference to the cancer that is purity culture, which is sadly still very pleasant in conservative Churches. But still, his smugness, mocking laughter is infuriating. It's like he takes everyone who listens to him for an idiot. Pretty ironically judgmental if you ask me.

I say it a lot, for a group of people that likes to think of themselves as inclusive (progressives) they sure have a problem with people who don’t agree with them
