Ego checks are great! Those live critiques by our professors and classmates were brutal for a reason. (remember those?) Do they still do that these days? There is always more to learn, room to grow and never hesitate to be inspired by your amazing talented colleagues you meet along the way. Don't think less of yourself just think of yourself less.

👍 I got discourage when I first came out too. After so many applications. I got job at a printshop as an operator (printing not designing). After 6 years they gave me a shot (they kept jumping me over people that would quit within a year in graphic design department) I'll tell you Its been a long while since I designed something. Im doing ok, but the ego on the other graphic designers that have 10+ years experience is insane. Just keep insisting, develop good relationships with your coworkers so they can put in a word with the higher ups to give you a shot. I started at $11 per hour. Now im getting $23
