I'm around 80 alright but grew up in a remote part of Scotland and hardly ever saw a television till well into adulthood. So, this is not so much a test of memory as a test of what culture we grew up in.

The long-term memory is seldom an issue. Short term is the difficult one.

I am now in my 89th year and have a very good long-term memory. One of my most memorable long-term memories is standing in a field and watching the Battle of Britain over my head. I was 5 years old and, of course, had no fear.

I lost track of my score but did better than I thought I would. I was born in 1943 so was 80 this year. I enjoyed, thank you. Back to my jigsaw puzzles now.

I got 48 correct. It was refreshing to go back in time and realize that my memory is still good. I am 83 years old. It would be nice if more videos could be presented. I do enjoy memory games. ❤❤❤

I am 71 and got all 50 right. I was born in 1953 but loved studying History. Plus my parents told us about world events.

Did better than I thought I would. 46/50. I was born 1950.
Fun quiz. Thank you. For future reference: For Harry Belefonte the last "e" is not silent. It is pronounced as a long "a". So it's Belefontay. :)

I remember what happened 60-70 years ago quite well, it's what happened yesterday I can't recall so well. My score was 43 correct.

I'm 58 as I was born in 1965 I thought I'd try this one out just as a test to see if I could hit 40. I nailed 37/50. There were a few dated things I just didn't know, but most of the historical events I aced. It was a lot of fun and pretty challenging.

50/50 with a few guesses. Not bad for an old guy like me who will be 80 in a few months.

I’m surprised - I missed only 4! Not bad for a 80 year old!

I do not understand why this is looked upon as a memory quiz...if you never knew the answer to some of these questions then not knowing them now has nothing to do with memory. Yes, if I knew Ethel and remember Ethel now that is memory, but if I never knew when James Dean died then not knowing now isn't about memory as I never had the information to begin with...so, why is this referred to as a quiz about memory!?

My memory is still good enough to know that "good" is an adjective, so qualifies a noun. With a verb, you need the adverb "well"

Considering there were so many American questions I think I did well as a Brit to get 42/50

Where would british quizzes be without Elvis and John Wayne 👍👍👍😂

I think YOU missed question number 14, as neither pantyhose nor mini-skirts existed until the late 1960's. (I was there, and recall when each came about)!

I’m 86 and got 48 with 2 guesses. I’m pleased because I do not bring names to memory quickly but when I read them, I know

I forgot how many I missed, but I'm pretty sure it was four. I'll be 84 in a few months. If asked those without the multiple choices, I think I'd get about half of them

Got all the names right, missed.a few statistics and year dates. We got our TV in the early Fifties. We watched Sid Caesar and Imogene Coca in The Show of Shows and Jackie Gleason, Audrey Meadows and Art Carney in The Honeymooners. We watched the series of film footage from WW2, "Victory at Sea, " with the Richard Rodgers score. We picked up Sputnik beeping over the US on our ham radios. Jack Kerouac wrote "On the Road, " James Dean ran his car off the road, Allen Ginsberg wrote "Howl, " and the '50s drew to a close.
