When I was around 54 (7 years ago), I had special cognitive testing done by a neurologist for early Alzheimers. It was very involved and took a total of about 3 hours. I felt like I did poorly on certain parts. Conclusion: No Alzheimers, but I have a short attention span. He gave me a heavy duty multivitamin and some other supplements to keep me focused. Also told me it's OK if I can't find my keys, but it's not ok if someone else finds them in the kitchen cupboard or medicine chest.

great so i did the "loci" method and now i have a ball stuck to my head, with a safety pen in my neck, and a driveway weighing down my shoulders🙂

I have to paint a picture in my head to remember things. Then I'm good to go. I pictured the ball rolling down the sidewalk and wobbling side to side because a safety pin got stuck in it and it couldn't roll straight. When you have ADHD you come up with all kinds of odd ways to remember details because about 2 seconds later you get distracted but something totally off topic.

Having been an elementary math teacher, it is sadly becoming less relevant to teach time in regards to analog clocks (even with Common Core, which is a joke). Yes time calculation is taught, but the average American youth "learns" and forgets. Honestly, if you asked them how to even read an analog clock they are helpless. So a test such as this, when they mature, will prove to be VERY problematic ijs

Is there a way to help your cognitive functioning when you have borderline personality disorder and anxiety? I know cognitive function can be affected with those. Because I definitely could not remember those words
