In my personal experience:

Get a scented lotion with a similar or somewhat of a neutral lotion(I use stuff from bath and bodyworks.Istg they work)

Applying the lotion on your arms and neck.

(Do this even if you’re wearing a long sleeve shirt or tee.)

And then let it dry a bit and apply Vaseline in pulse points

Then apply your fragrance

Works to well for me.
My Burberry weekend went from 6 hours to 12 hours from doing this with the added scent of the lotion aswell.

What sets you apart from other reviewers (in my eyes) is that you are concerned with other aspects of scents besides how they smell. Longevity is a huge aspect for me, so thanks a lot for the valuable tips.

First time hearing someone recommend Molecule 02 over 01. I'll keep this in mind! Might even get both.

Thanks so much for the educational aspects of your channel. I feel I learn something every time I watch, which is a wonderful thing. I have pretty oily skin so most fragrances last longer on me than on most people. However, now and then I ran across one that could use an extra boost. I find the double spray method works well for me, and again, I saw that on one of your more recent posts. My thanks again!

One of the best and probably the most innovative fragrance channel there is. Omar very good work, like always. You are versatile with your videos and help us solve a wide rage of problems. Really loving your videos.
P.S. - I bought an atomizer and it really does make a big difference, without me having to worry about too many other things.

My favorite fragrances never last much longer than two hours on me. I’ll try a few of this suggestions and see what works :)

Best way is to immediately stop buying shit fragrances, then companies will have to make them properly again.

How to make any weak fragrance perform? Don't buy them. Let the manufacturers know that they need to step up their game.

Try jojoba oil which is closest oil to the skin chemistry. You're welcome!

I actually find this is the best use case for clones. Most clones are made by middle eastern companies that by nature make their scents stronger but are missing the individual notes that higher end designer/niche fragrances have. To be expected. So if you have the real thing and performance is bad, I would buy the closest clone, and then spray that first and then spray the real version over it.
Also for beginners, I think what clones are good for is determining what scent profiles (especially in dry down) that you really like and resonates with your nose and skin. Then once you do you can go and find the real designer/niche version that has the best example of that note and then you can spend your money wisely on that fragrance. The only clones that I think are really good on their own and you don't need to buy the real thing are the Armaf clones of Aventus/Millesime Imprerial/Silver Mountain Water/Green Irish Tweed. These are close enough to the real thing and the real Aventus fragrances are just way too overpriced. But for example, for PDM Leyton...I find spraying Detour Noir/Exclusif Bleu first and then spraying PDM Leyton real thing, gives you best of both worlds. You save some sprays of the real thing, while also getting the performance and you get the all of the nuanced top notes of the real thing that aren't present in the clones.

Just bought the molecule 01 / was wondering about the differences to layer with - SURPRISE that no one made a chart with all the molecule line ups and best combos most likely that they can blend in with....

I have one of those pump from the bottom atomisers. Fill it 1/3 Molecule 02 and 2/3 fragrance for extra longevity. Of course, it doesn't work with all frags though

ATH Carbon (haven't tried it yet myself) seems to work as wel. 👀

Light Scentless oil, or light scentless moisturiser not vasaline. ..vacaline is a petroleum jelly not good.with fragrances.

One of the rules that i have while purchasing a fragrance is if it's not performing i'm not buying !! even if it smells good
Companies are really greedy nowadays, they raise the price, ruin the performance of once performing fragrances, SAD
but informative video, thanks :)

3:40 "Spray Twice"

A reason for that might be that the aldehydes in the parfume oxidize and that spraying another layer seals the oxidized layer-
Therefore the first layer has to be fully oxidized and evaporated before the second layer comes out again

-My theory

I believe spraying twice makes it last longer is also due to the fact that there is more there. Fragrances project through the cologne molecules evaporating on your skin, and this gaseous form travels into your nose and thus you can smell it. This is why there are certain important areas on the body to spray, such as where there is most heat, as this will allow more fragrance molecules to evaporate, and thus your nose can detect a larger amount of the scent. This is also why spraying on clothes can make it last longer, as there is no direct heat being put into the fragrance molecules, preventing the fragrance from evaporating as much as it would if you applied it to your hot skin (however, in return spraying on clothes may decrease the projection). A larger amount of any substance will make it more difficult for it to evaporate. Taking water for example, boiling a cup of water is easier than boiling a pot of water. Take a pot for example, when you heat up the water molecules, the molecules will move around and spread out the heat. Since there is a larger amount of water, it will take longer for the heat to spread to a point where all the water molecules are at boiling temperature than with just boiling a small amount of water in the cup. Applying this to cologne, since there has been more cologne applied, the heat your body will provide the fragrance molecules will be spread out more, meaning it will take longer for the fragrance molecules to reach the temperature needed to evaporate, meaning the fragrance molecules will stay on your skin longer. Your theory could also be correct, however, what I described will also definitely be occurring.

Nice tips. Funny I have no problem with how long La Nuit de L'homme lasts. On the rare days I wear this to work, I apply one spray on back of my neck, one spray each on left and right die of my neck, one spray on each wrist. Can clearly smell it when I get home 10-11 hours after I applied it. Then I get to really enjoy it while I work out. Most of the time though, this is my after shower fragrance when I'm likely to stay in for the night.
