Kala namak my beloved 😍

Question: Have you tried making a scramble from chickpea flour batter? There's this dish called Khandvi in my country (India) which is like little rolls made from cooked besan (chickpea flour) batter. It's very easy to make and you can actually simply cook the batter until it resembles a scramble instead of making the rolls. It is SO delicious and the only thing you need to veganise it is plant based curd/yoghurt.
Or you can simply make a dhokla (steamed besan batter) and crumble it up... okay now my mouth is watering. But definitely give these a try if you get time. And thank you for your wonderful recipes 💚

I love tofu scramble. I make a ton of seasoning for it in a jar and then it's really easy to whip up in the morning

I'm eating tofu scramble in my breakfast burrito at this very moment! I hope more people turn to tofu with egg prices being so high. I honestly prefer the taste of tofu scramble over scrambled eggs.

The amount of Kala Namak you’re using is wild. I love this too but not THAT much haha. But thanks for sharing!

My fathers recipe that I have been using most of my life is
1/2 teaspoon tumeric powder for colour
1 heaped teaspoon of corn starch to thicken the sauce
1/3 of a teaspoon Sulfur salt to give it the saltiness and the egg smell
And finally around 1/4 of a cup of coconut milk
You crumble the tofu in a hot pan with a little oil and fry it for a bit then pour in the sauce mix until all tofu is fully coated and sauce is thickened and then take off the heat and serve

i make scrambled tofu with curry powder, salt, garlic powder and cheese! it’s one of my favorite comfort foods and is truly so amazing.

If you have a sulphur allergy as I do, do not add black salt… the rest makes a really nice egg alternative on its own… 👍😃

Mm, I’m a vegan kid and I love tofu scramble. My dad also use to make me little fried pieces of tofu and some melted cheese, best snack ever

It's quite good. I once had it a breakfast event and I was just helping myself to what looked like him scrambled eggs and my friend pointed out to me after my third plate that they happened to be vegan and it didn't change my opinion on how good they were I just went for a fourth helping afterwards.

It's quite a good scrambled egg substitute

Have you ever had ackee? It's a fruit tastes alot like eggs to me. I recommend giving it a try.

Try using silken tofu it's ways creamier this way

Tofu scramble is not my favorite. I am obsessed with Just Egg. It's the closest to egg and the texture is indistinguishable, especially as an omelet. I have even fooled people into thinking an omelet sandwich I made was egg lol. I also add black salt, but not as much as you added lol!! 😮 That was a lot! 😂

That’s a lot of kala namak. If I use more than like a quarter teaspoon in a recipe I get unholy smelling burps 😂
