I dont get it, I feel like there's a way faster way to do this. Plug in 1 and 6 for -b/2a to get the x coordinate of the vertex, which is -6/2 = -3. You can then plug in -3 for x to get y and voila you have the vertex. Then you just see which answe choice matches the vertex of the equation. Using this method I solved this problem in about 10 seconds. Wouldn't this be much faster than completing the square?
