As a math major I’ve gone through multiple proofs for completing the square, and usually each time I’m like “yeah, I understand it, I guess, ” but this genuinely helps me understand it.

This finally explains why this “technique” is called completing the square, I never really questioned the name or thought it meant something
until now.

This is what some schools lack. A way to appreciate math, like visuals

Math should also be taught in this interactive way. As someone with abstract thinking, I cannot truly absorb the lesson without understanding the big picture of it. This makes sense and it can help me appreciate math even more.

The difference of two squares can also be viewed in this way. Nice animation.

This is how math is supposed to be taught. the fact that people are amazed by this makes me saddened with the crummy education systems all over the world.

x^2 + bx = (x + b/2)^2 - (b/2)^2 = x^2 + 2xb/2 + (b/2)^2 - (b/) ^2 = x^2 + bx.

I hope this quality of work to be as valuated as it really is. Congratulations!

(x+a)^2 = x^2+2ax+a^2, so x^2+2ax = x^2+2ax+a^2-a^2, or (x+a)^2-a^2, for 2a=b, or a=b/2 we get (x+b/2)^2-(b/2)^2

most mathematical constants are based on geometry. The concepts are easily understood when explained geometrically like in this video
