I haven't done yet, but my mom's sister did hers, and we're melungeon out of western Virginia, Wise County, both sides of the family. Family names of Scott, Collier, Robinette, Osborne. We've always said we're Heinz 57, but here in Indiana where I live now, most people have never even heard that term applied to people!!! But, bets we're related too. Gonna do mine soon I think. Love your video, and your enthusiasm. I've said the same thing-- no wonder I could love and identify with anyone, we were maybe the first multiracial group in the United States!!

You did forgot to let everyone know that on Gedmatch we have DNA matches from people who uploaded their raw data from DNA companies to Gedmatch. People can phase their kits when their parent is also on Gedmatch to. After phase your kit. You can tell which side of the family tree your DNA matches is on by using the phase kits.

Your math is way off, you are not 52% native. You need to take the sum of all percentages of the race you're trying to isolate, add them together, and then divide by 22 chromosomes to get your mean ancestry for that race, which for native- you are 1.875% native american if you count the oceanic dna, or 1.3% native american if you are just using the NA segment percentages.

I have the olive skin my sister got the whiter pinker skin...its a dna crapshoot ...:)
