Went from 250 lbs. to 200 lbs.

I helped my cousin lose 195 lbs. No Ozempic. No surgery. Just slowly changing the diet and getting his ass in the gym. The muscle gain motivated him to eat cleaner and better. Dude is looking better than me now!😅

I can testify that free access to a gym won’t help everyone get fit 😅 I work in an office with hundreds of people and we have a free gym (quite a nice one) in the basement level. All we need to do is go down one more floor on our way down and start working out. Doesn’t cost a thing. You need to bring workout clothes but there are towels and showers. And yet…whenever I go…it is mostly empty 🤷‍♀️

I'm pretty sure that people who say they can't afford to "eat healthy" also have 4-5 different streaming subscriptions, a brand new $300 tattoo, and half a dozen Amazon boxes in route to their apartment.

I did a caveman diet couple of years ago (meat, vegetables and nuts). I thought it would be expensive. It wasn't. Turns out that if you don't buy all the unnecessary snacks, drinks, etc... you can save a lot of money.

I have 4 kids, I am really trying to give them a healthy relationship with food because I know that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. A lot of the obesity problems we have today started in childhood.

One thing I have noticed in interacting with lots of other parents, portion size is incredibly distorted here in America. People give their kids way too much food and then force their kids to eat it. I don't force my kids to eat beyond the point of being full. I also realized that I was plating their food on dishes that were way too big. I bought smaller dishes for them and for me and my husband.

I know exactly why I can't lose weight. I'm eating too much. I burn the daily calories and work out 5 times a week. Don't mean shit if I'm eating 1000 extra calories every day. I only blame myself.

300 pounds to 170 here. It’s a knowledge problem. That said, that’s not an excuse. The foundations of health, sleep, water, macros, CICO, can be learned in an hour.

Additionally, fasting is a godsend. Intermittent fasting for bio markers was incredible for me. A once a month three day fast has also been an incredible tool for weight loss, health, and self discipline.

But a lot of folks think that any of the above is ‘extreme’ and ‘dangerous’ and they just NEED their four meals a day and snacks in between for ‘energy’

Cooking is therapeutic (unless you have a toddler and nosy pets), clean as you go so you don’t end up with a ton of dishes at the end. I’ve found that the longer it takes me to prepare a meal, the less of it I will eat. Cutting, smelling, and sautéing the food helps satisfy my cravings. Change your relationship with food. It should be romantic, not toxic. ❤

I watch you and Kiana Docherty’s videos about fat acceptance when I get on the treadmill. Good to have another one to add to the playlist!! I’ve never been outrageously fat but I was 215 pounds in July and I’m almost at 200 now!

I am watching this around 5 in the morning, having got out of bed a few minutes ago so that I can get in a workout before work, after which I have class. I used to make that “I don’t have time” excuse when I was almost 300 lbs - then I started having weight related mobility issues and got scared. Make time for health or you’ll have to make time for illness.
