I live in semi-rural AZ and six years ago we had a terrible summer where our house was overrun by bark scorpions. For seven weeks we were finding two to three scorpions a day. I got stung five different times, four while I was asleep. I ended up crashing at my brother's house while my husband braved the swarm exterminating them. For a week I felt like I was on fire and my arms felt like lead. Thankfully he got it under control and we maybe see at most two over the summer.
Bark scorpions are evil little bastards. I can't imagine keeping them as pets. I'm sorry you got stung. 😢
