It seems like Mark has a higher pain tolerance than Coyote…kudos to both of them for not swearing when they are in terrible pain.

This one was a ride on the ptsd train for me. My home is right next to a wash. A year ago, while I passed out on my living room couch, I woke to that feeling you have when something is crawling on you. I automatically brushed at it and was stung two times in quick succession on the hand between my thumb and pointer finger. The pain is literally one that will bring you to your knees, and it travels. I had an allergic reaction, and was brought back to life twice as well as the hospital had to give epinephrine 6 times in a 13-hour period. As luck would have it, we did catch it (bark scorpion)and bring it to the hospital with us so it could be identified. I was hospitalized for 4 days, and i didn't get the feeling back in my hand for 9 days. I now have my home sprayed constantly and use a blaclight if I need to take my fogs out to potty at night or take the trash out. You do not want to f around and find out with these guys. They do jump a small distance, and they can flatten themselves as thin as a credit card.

Scorpion: "Dude. You don't wanna do this."

Mark: "Yes I do."

S: "No you don't. You really don't."

M: "Yes, I really do."

S: "You sure, bro?"

M: "I'm sure, do the sting!"

S: "Okay, bro."

M: (after screaming) "I was not prepared for this."

I give it 5 or so years before, "we're gonna be bitten by the black mamba. I'm 100% going to the hospital, but these are the things we do for science".

Rule of thumb with scorpions: The smaller and weakers the pincers, the stronger the venom.

Y'know, I gotta admire how no matter how severe the pain from a sting or anything like that is, these guys STILL manage to keep it family friendly with no swearing and such.

Like if that was me getting stung by one of those beasts I'd probably be dropping more F bombs than a character from a show written by Vivziepop 💀

I live in the same place as these scorpions.

The pain is best described as feeling like whatever part of you got stung is being hit with an electrified sledgehammer.

It is genuinely phenomenal how painful these little buggers are.

stepped on a bark scorpion barefooted when I was a teenager and it was the most terrible 12 hours of Hell that I'll never forget. You're CRAZY for doing this on purpose. What's next? A rattlesnake bite to the neck? Be careful with yourself.

You and coyote should do a sting video together and see if you two have the same reactions

A massive thank you and props to the entire Brave Wilderness team for everything they do for all of us at home. You spread factual information about creatures some perhaps never even heard of, you teach us what we should and shouldn't do in certain situations or even when it comes to simply interacting with them, and y'all get bitten and stung by things I'd personally just run very fast and very far from haha. Mark, I hope you genuinely know how much everyone appreciates what you do, same goes with Coyote, y'all are seriously insane in the best ways.

I honestly had no idea ANY scorpion could cause this much pain or lead to so many deaths. I'm astonished it dethroned the bullet ant! Wow! I will definitely be more observant and cautious during my visits to the Southwest. Thank you, Brave Wilderness, for taking such excruciatingly painful bites and stings for the BSI while also educating all of us about these fascinating, deadly creatures. You and your team get a solid, well-deserved 10/10 here on YouTube.
