I loved hearing that he picked my BMW X3 M40i as the best.
I have the 2020 model and till today it has not cost me a penny in any service costs.
All my services have been free as BMW covers all oil and filter changes for free for the first 3 years of new car ownership.
Just beautiful. It has been super reliable SUV and oh that sweet 6 cylinder engine has been so peppy.
The X3 M40i main competitor is the Mercedes AMG GLC 43.
When I tested these 2 great models I found that the M40i's engine is more potent and sportier than the Mercedes and also cheaper.
Thanks for posting this informative video here.

There is zero reasons for a modern car to leak or squeak. No one can tell me that BMW engineers can't find the correct sealants, or put the car together properly.

I have had an X4 since 2018 and have had no issues so far! Have driven North to South of Thailand many times, hills, plains, motorways, rainstorms and heat. Been a great car ---so far!! Fingers crossed!

Many years back, I had X3 - 2007 and now I have X5- 2022. I was happy then and I am happy now with my choices. For 5 years that I had X3, I only did the oil change and one time of alignment. that is it. I was not even needed to change the brake pads. Great car. My X5 is great so far.

We have a 2013 x5 with the n55 and have hd great service from this car. So much so we have kept it and bought another one, a 2018 x5 with the n55. My mother has an x5 with the b58 and I really like that engine as well. That being said we still have our n55’s and love both of them.

I think the X1 is a good reliable suv for bmw i think any bmw suv is reliable you just gotta make sure it was built in Germany and not the USA I’ve seen a lot of X competition suvs with over 100K miles 🤷🏾‍♂️

Mark how are you. Great videos. Love the info for anyone from entry level bmw interested to the experienced owner. I still have my original n63 2013 x5 xdrive50i with now 120, 000 miles. Still daily driving and never had a major service catastrophic failure yet. Still original turbos and engine. Only burns 2 quarts every 5-7000 miles. I’m a very lucky one. Worst and only leak I’ve had was the upper oil pan gasket. Still a fan until I need my next one!

In general I've observed that the early X1s that came with the 2-liter turbo petrol engines or the 2-liter turbodiesel engines paired to 8-speed Aisin torque converter gearboxes (before being replaced with 7-speed DCTs) seem to be quite reliable as daily workhorses

I have owned several BMW'S in my 61 years of life and the last 3 were X5's and an X7. None of them were reliable. My 2020 X7 has been in the shop more than I care to admit and I am now ready to face the reality that there are better options for me. Sad but true.

So I guess you're using the term reliable in a relative sense lol. Great video.

I was looking for a X3 m40i with low miles but I couldn't find one. I ended up buying a 2020 Porsche Macan S and I LOVE it. The X3 m40i seems to be a great ride as well. I was tired of driving a SUV (Snore Utility Vehicle) and I wanted something that would perform and be luxurious.

I just bought the 2019 G01 BMW x3 B48, about to get it fingers crossed it will be as reliable as my 2006 330d with M57D30TÜ2, it has 330k on the clock and the 9 years ive owned it, Im yet to find out if the check engine light even exists.

Whew 😅
G01 B58 X3 M40i FTW!
This video made me nervous. Glad to know I’ve made at least one solid decision over the past five years!

Have a 2016 X6 BMW, it has been 8 years and I have had zero issues. Just bought a new 2024 BMW X7 and I am pretty sure is going to be the same as long as I take care of the car.

i drive 2011 X5 50i for 7 years now :D you are on point wilth all those issues LOL, i spend in INDYS prob 9-10k :) and now gonna spend prob 2k to get front sunspension fixed, life is brutal but no point in spending 50k to get newer model, still same car, new car new problems XD

Honestly, I wasn't aware of the many versions of BMW "X" series vehicles!
Great, comprehensive overview of them all!
Glad to hear that they offer, even, an updated version of the B58 engine.
One would have to consider the purchase of a newer version of one of these.
Then, again, I'd have to consider Porsche, as well.
Thanks again Mark!

Hey there, what up, I'll get right to it, have a 2004 x5 v6 petro usedl, ( not sure which engine it is from the list you mentioned in the video) for 3 years now, had my share of issues with it, almost everyone is telling me to sell and get a Toyota or something, but 8m not giving up on it even though I have paid more on repairs than what i paid for it originally, still I think it's a cool car, i just want to know is it one of the reliable engines or not generally?
Thanks nd still following your vids
