i got a job offer

Ya, I got a new job. For context, a few months ago, I made this video where I talked about how I lost my job. At the time, I was working at Serve Robotics as a Mechanical Design Engineer in Redwood City, California. The start-up couldn’t get enough funding to keep going, so I ended up getting let go. I was shook because it came completely out of nowhere. Literally, the day before I was let go, I was discussing a project with my manager that we’ll be working on next month and was being complimented for my work. But, hey that’s just life, I guess. So then, I spent the next 6 months job hunting, and I shared my thoughts and my journey with you on this channel. In total, I applied to hundreds of positions at different companies. Out of those, I got interviews for 17 of them. Timestamps are as follows:

00:00 Intro
01:49 What I do in my new role?
03:19 Why I accepted it?
08:23 How I Found this role?
08:52 Negotiating Salary

Congratulations! I have been watching your videos throughout my PhD. Without a job lined-up, I felt absolutely nothing the day I defended my thesis. Pretty ironic I woke up today at 8:45 a.m. to a phone call offering the job I've been eagerly waiting for. I have been so tensed for so long, relaxing seems like a distant memory 😮‍💨

OMG! Tamer I'm happy for you! 😭😭😭😭😭😭After your last upload, I was like universe this guy needs a break if not a straight-up job offer from Apple! You deserve it, you're so skilled and so diligent and such a great communicator. You've been so generous with information throughout your journey. I started watching you while still doing my undergrad in mechanical engineering, all the way throughout my master's in Robotics and AI. I kept watching you and now working in Software in a lead position in the mechanical industry. This news has made me so happy! You have been a source of inspiration for many people, especially those who are just about to begin their journey in mechanical. When I started my journey, and even up till now, creators like you are not so common who takes us through the actual contents of mechanical, day-to-day working life, resumes specific to our industry, and job interviews and searches and reviews in general from a professional and personal point of view. We have literally grown together 🤣🤣🤣🤣Thank you so much and you deserve all the success coming your way.

Congrats!!! I was also looking for a ME job and came across your video on how long you’ve been waiting for a job. Your video made me feel better knowing I wasn’t the only one having trouble fining an engineering job. For those seeking an engineering role, just know everyone goes through this wait, but you will find one I promise! 😊

Congratulations, Tamer. Really happy for you. My name is Umair and I currently reside in Pakistan. I'm about to start my final year of Mechanical Engineering and its been a wonderful journey so far. Been watching your videos since the 3rd semester and you've been an inspiration for me so far. Honestly, at some point I wanted to drop out of Engineering as well because of the academic pressure and personal issues but something kept me going. I almost watch your videos daily to keep myself motivated and engineering has been so much fun since then. I completely relate to your desire to work for Apple. I also wanted to land a job or an internship at GSK but got rejected thrice lol. But that's just life just like you said. Really excited for your next engineering channel. Can't wait to see what it has to offer.

I mean hey, your not only am engineer but also the YouTube channel will potentially be a massive marketing thing for their company I don't know allot about this stuff but signing on a engineer who also has 200 k subs on YouTube is a insanely niche yet insanely insanely profitable I can imagine for a company design and marketing being covered by 1 very highly qualified individual
