Notice how they aren't trying to kill each other.

Faith doesn't alleviate moral responsibility for the Christian; it just removes the motivation of damnation/salvation. Instead of doing good to avoid Hell, the true Christian does good out of love.

This is exactly how debates should be. Just because you’re loud doesn’t mean you’re right. It’s nice hearing 2 people have a discussion and not one interrupt each other.

You know these two gentlemen respect each other by the silence and focus they both display.

I love seeing two intelligent humans having a civil debate. No immature bullshit or threats or anything like that. Just two guys talking. Why can’t people act like this more often?

Man I love when intelligent people talk about potentially controversial topics without being offensive.

To answer Ben when he said “I think Christian’s just re read themselves back into an acts based Christianity”, he’s not entirely wrong, the idea is that the closer your relationship is with god, the more you end up following what god said to do, that’s because you’ll no longer have the desire to sin and end up with a loving heart

FINALLY!

A logical, great, beautiful well thought conversation about 2 different religions not screaming at each other stating which religion is more evil. These two people keep giving me more hope in humanity the more I listen and watch their vids.

As an orthodox Christian, Jordan got this exactly right towards the end. We acknowledge Jesus took on our burdens and was perfect.... AND we acknowledge that that it is the ideal worth copying.

The thing is this, Ben is right about Christianity in the sense that we recognize that only Jesus can take the sins of the world, and that our duty is to accept what he has done. But Jordan Peterson is also right when he takes about Christians taking up the suffering of the world, seeing Christ as an example.

So basically, we recognize that sin can only be dealt with by Christ, and we also accept that its our responsibility to be the light of the world just as Jesus was/is.
We see the problems of the world as our responsibility to solve, not by our own strength but nonetheless. We also believe that its our responsibility to direct men to Christ whom can cleanse their sins.

I think the big difference between this discussion and so many others on YouTube involving Ben or Jordan is that both these men are allowing the other to make their point before responding. It’s so refreshing.

I’m so grateful for this! They’re two well prepared and educated guys, politely debating and challenging each other’s arguments; it’s so refreshing seeing such a conversation in 2023. Good old days in which our TV broadcasted intellectual debates in which the topic was not “Does a trans man has to remove their testicles?”.

Wow. It's great to be alive in an era where I can hear a discourse between people like Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson.

Two very brilliant men discussing different faiths with utter respect for each other. This is how discussion should be. 👏 well done boys. A big fan of both

I have huge respect for both these guys. As a catholic, I’ve always appreciated Ben’s ideals.
I like how this conversation seems like it’s more about them just noting their differences and not arguing about them.

It's so nice to see two people debate that are clearly not on the same side of the argument that will say things like "That's a good point, " or "I agree with you on that." It's also nice to see that they do have differences of opinion and allow each other to express that opinion. Just yeah. So nice to see.

Always praying for Ben, he knows how to carry out a debate and is a model to all of us who may one day have to show the same respect to our opposing side of an argument.
