I am fascinated by the way Jordan Peterson was able to connect the overwhelming presence of protestantism and its philosophy in the US and the current leftist ideology. It is amazing how he was able to connect the way protestants think and the way that way of thinking, like an underlying pattern, affects the culture a a whole. This ability to distinguish the key things in people's ways of life, of thinking etc is what makes Jordan Peterson such a visionary, such an influential person. He knows what things are ultimately about. So thankful to have him as a breath of fresh air in these times!

community has a strong link to sanity and people need to be connected to a grander body of people, it's called fellowship.

Not sure how many years it jas been since I started listening to Dr. Peterson. But, surprisingly enough I started listening to Ben Shapiro because of him and even follow him now. Half of what Dr. Peterson discusses is always over my head, and intellectually it just feels like I am reaching up for something on the top shelf but need a boost to get there. Dr. Peterson doesn't dumb anything down while at the same time making something perfectly clear in the most articulate way to describe something. I enjoy listening to him speak, but admit I wasn't a fan of Ben Shapiro in the past. However, it was not for reasons one might think.

My family upbringing was very patriotic, religious, conservative, and politically narrowed in worldview. And, dispite that my father has always listened to Ben Shapiro and I would walk straight out of the room when hewas on the radio. I never felt like I could connect and relate. I am a creative thinker, not logical. I don't do things and explain things in the most linear fashion. I throw everything out there first and then work backwards to process and describe something. I have been called both a genius and an idiot at work and in many other arenas.

Other than the fact that I am quirky, I would say that I am average. At least, I am average in intellectual ability. And, depending on the situation both could be slightly true. I always looked at people like Ben Shapiro as unrelatable in the same way I couldn't keep up with some classmates in school just because I was very bottom of the honors classes. We both think verbally. However, I could never keep up. Growing up, I was intellectually lazy and didn't develop a vocabulary until my junior year in college focusing on simplistic language. I learned just enough to understand and describe but never more out of sheer curiosity. I was never given a voice when I was young. So what was the point in learning to invest more. Intelligece was stagnant and it was impressed upon me that some people were either great writers or poor writers and hard work wouldn't change that. Looking back, w think I took that belief with me in politics and other arenas where I couldn't compete. I hate fighting back, so I had little interest in listening to people who enjoyed debate.

I give up listening in heated arguments I cannot understand. I cannot follow main points in debates because I miss a point or yet again I end up daydreaming. Pretty sure if I wanted to, I could stare at the ceiling for hours and daydream about anything without getting bored. I haven't changed. But, I think Ben Shapiro did. Or, perhaps my view of him just did when he finally slowed down his speech.

The only place an Ivy League school would ever let me go is the bookstore or perhaps a concert. I have problems being around people who are more intelligent than I am. And, I usually feel like the idiot in the room. But, I kind of prefer that as there is more interesting stuff that I can learn from others. But, when Ben Shapiro used to speak on the radio, I would get annoyed and told myself I was too dumb to keep up because my IQ was too low to absorb enough of what he said. Ben probably didn't change at all and is probably exactly the same, only at a much slower speed. But, taking a moment to pause and catch his breath gave me the opportunity to feel like I was listening and could hold onto what was important before I gave up listening.

Love listening to people that compel me to look up words.

I read with our grandchildren every time they visit and talk with them a lot. We talk at the dinner table, which is something I believe they seldom do at home. Where we grew up as family talking in the kitchen cooking, or talking working in the garage, or talking while playing in the yard, or talking over a board games after dinner ... we all need to be deliberate in doing these natural roles in communicating. To loose these traditions would be dangerous for everyone.

I love how Dr Peterson puts his hand to his mouth in order to really take in a very serious question and then answers it to the best of his intellectual being. Outstanding, really

I drop the phone as much as possible, waiting rooms, trains (50/50), lunchtime etc, I really try to change the habit of head down and I also lose the ipods while out walking.
OK here's the result.... I'm usually the only one doing it😭,
except elderly people and a few 50+like myself.
Try it folks... free your senses!! 🙏

Me - " Hey Jordan! What have you been up to?"

Jordan Peterson - " Well, The cylindrical, quasi - dimensional shift in ethics shapes the altruistic and sedative reasoning parameters and decompensates the reality which we both need to know as true and objective thought. I've been studying the inter dimensional keynotes and triangulating the path variants involved in our worldly speech patterns. Me -

Wow, it's refreshing to see Jordan take a break from the usual, and sit down to speak with a rapper. Strange but cool. 😂

This is so important that we have peers to bounce our thoughts off of, but the most important aspect of understanding scripture is following the Holy Spirit and pleading for his wisdom.
1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

The Catholic system does not focus on Bible study, (if it does, it's a recent addition). The protestant system is based upon Bible study. Has Dr. Peterson read the entire Bible yet? That's a really great way to wrestle with God!

It is kind of a trade-off. In the conversational side of things, there is a communal unity that is essential, but the problem with that is once a bad idea comes in, the need to be part of the group gives way to the desire for truth and repentance. On the other hand, the individual with the text can be divisive, but corrective, if the group will accept the correction.
