One thing no one ever seems to contemplate or realize... Dune is one of the super rare space opera sci-fi novels in which there are no alien life involved. It's 100% human nature.

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

Funny how the Emperor's fear of getting dethroned led to him taking action that would eventually lead to his loss of the throne by an Atreides for the very actions he had done in his attempt to remove the Atreides. A literal self-fulfilling prophecy, so to speak. Hell, the Atreides were some of the most loyal of houses, yet paranoia on the emperor's side and a sense of weakening in power led him to take the one step that he should have not.

"My brother comes!" By far one of my favorite lines in the series. No other series can give me chills like Dune.

The warnings of Dune are as relevant today as they were when it was first published.

After researching cluster B personality disorders, and generalized psychology, this Dune saga is all the more fascinating as a story about the evolution of human empathy beyond the boundaries of time and space. Herbert was one hell of a visionary

Your passion for the Dune saga is inspiring. Dune is without a doubt one of the densest stories ever told and you have done a magnificent job honoring all the details and spirit that Frank Herbert created. Please continue with your passion.

Dune is more relevant today than the time when it was written, and will continue to be so in the future, a truly timeless masterpiece. Dune is a must read for any nerd on earth, its the template for many SF and fantasy setting that came after, its influences found ways to works of fame, of niche, and even to those producer whom never heard of it, for it is the golden path.

When the Reverent Mother said, “Not for the father, ” She could’ve been talking about Paul being the father, and the God-Emperor being the descendant. Crazy how deep Herbert went with his Masterpiece.

I'm in shock at how well you narrated Duke Leto's last moments. Your voice really captured all of the finality that I felt reading that part of the book, how even in his dying moments the Duke felt joy when he remembered his son and the beauty of nature he had witnessed on Arrakis.
