The planet arrakis also known as Dune, Is the only place in the known universe where the spice melange is found. The spice is a drug that is used throughout the Imperium for various purposes mainly it's geriatric properties, the spice is life and can more than double the human life span. In some special people such as the highly trained Bene Gesserit Reverend mothers, The spice melange can awaken prescient Vision, sight of the future. The spice also heightens awareness and is used by The Guild as a means for space travel. Spice melange is the gasoline of the universe, without it all Commerce throughout the inhabited galaxies would cease.

Having been introduced to this universe very, very recently through the recent Dune movie, I feel somewhat overwhelmed with the sheer scope and complexity of this story. Now when the movie is out, I am reminded of this one fantastic Dune -review. It was made four years ago by this dude who really, really likes Dune. His name was Quinn, and he had ideas.
Now when the movie is out, I am obliged to revisit, upvote and comment this wonderful videoseries, done with such a passion, it today, after four years, is still the best book review I ever viewed.

this series is so detailed that if someone tells me the author was actually a time traveler from those days and wrote down the books, i would think it makes sense
