I'm sitting here trying to figure out why no solution has worked for my mouse problem, then I flip the mouse over, look where the laser is and pull out a 10 inch hair.

Thought I would add another solution I have had a bit of trouble with severer mouse lag for the last couple of days tried all solutions and nothing seemed to work for me.
Even thought I would have to reset my entire pc which I wasn't happy about. I have my pc connected to a tv set and realised the lag happened more when I turned to a tv channel to watch anything. So I just wobbled the HDMI cable and the mouse lag seems to have been sorted.
Didn't know that a loose HDMI could have been what was causing it but thought I mention it to help anyone else having this problem.

I have done all of these and several I have found elsewhere on the web. I have reloaded windows. I have updated the BIOS. I have even taken it to a computer repair shop and they didn't get it fixed. I have purchased new 4 different mouses. and the computer is less than 6 months old - - - - HELP Is there any other ideas out there? I AM NOT a computer person. I just know how to turn on the power and get to work. I am lost. Is there a program or software that I can download that will repair it?

I think I've tried everything that you've suggested so far even the reinstalling of the new windows but unfortunately the problem still persists. Help me. The mouse is Logitech M557.

For me this ended up being due to CPU virtualization being enabled. Had it enabled for doing some development in WSL, but disabling it completely fixed any mouse lag issues. I have a ASUS Strix B550 F motherboard, so it is fairly new, so I'm gonna try to see if a bios update will solve the virtualization issues. But for now it's going to remain off cause gaming is obviously the priority :)

I also had some luck with lowering the mouse polling rate which helped a lot, but that was really just treating the symptoms of the issue and not actually fixing it.

I've updated all of my drivers, my mouse is the Steelseries Rival 3 Optical Mouse. However, my mouse has been stuttering for the passed 8 hours. By stuttering, I mean the cursor is popping in and out rapidly. This makes it so that in games such as "osu!" and some other aiming games, my sensitivity seems very slow. I've tried to increase my sensitivity in the games but the mouse cursor seems very shaky although I haven't moved the mouse.

I have a dell laptop, and my mouse (Logitech MX3) is installed with blue-tooth. I uninstalled Logitech software and uninstalled the mouse from the blue-tooth. Then I re-connected the mouse with the blue-tooth first, and then downloaded and re-installed Logitech software, and it seems to have fixed the issue. Hopefully it doesn't come back.

Since we got a new tv our mouse is slow .

W10 mouse movement compared to w7 is completely wrong.
Probably due to the os being based on vista and the mouse not scaling in fixed increments as it should.

For me I unplugged the hdmi cable and put it into another slot and it worked perfect.

omg. ok so litterally none of this worked. but as i was shutting down everything i noticed my background changed (it's a and i think you all have the same) and it did the same stutter thing.

so just for fun i selected a single image and set it as background instead. and BAM it completely vanished.
i think my slideshow folder was just getting way and way too big. (570 files)
it's like it was keeping the whole folder buffered or something

i use the razer deathadder V2. the razer i cleaned the sensor i installed the latest drivers. and i still have mouse lag problems. especially in games when i want to do flick shots. it happens with and without a mouse pad. mouse issue it self you think? because i cant seem to fix it.

(I have amd a6 7310 acer laptop with r4 gharphic ) whenever i update my amd driver my mouse starts lagging and if i roll back it is fixed
but in old drivers my software are not running please help me please

I loved the intro special effect of the slow pointer flying by. I seemed to fix my problem by plugging my wired mouse into a different USB port on my motherboard. I also quit using my monitor's KVM functionality (I might try again though because I love having just one mouse, keyboard, and monitor shared between my MacBook and my gaming PC).
