How To! - Disable Bing From the Windows 8.1 Search Engine

Windows 8.1 includes online search results from Bing whenever you search for something on your system. Since many people aren't going to want this, here is how to get rid of this behavior.

it does not work....every time I turn on my computer  that idiot bing pops up... I want to change it to google.com.

is there anyway to do that?

This was too easy! But what about putting google chrome on the computer after disabling??? yes, I am old and boring and just learning...but I am still able to learn!

Why would you want to change it? Bing the the best and most useful Search Provider yet, for reasons including, but not limited to, Not showing results based on how much money the provider gave to the search provider (Google), Not selling your information to the government (Google), the list goes on.
