Getting Rid of Bing in Windows Search

✴️ Getting rid of Bing in Windows 10 search is difficult, but not impossible. We can't change the search engine used by Windows Search when searching the web, but we can avoid Bing by not trying to search the web at all.

You can remove all web search results by adding a key value to the Windows registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\DisableSearchBoxSuggestions set to a DWORD 32 value of 1. Be sure to back up the registry using System Restore before you make changes.

Hello leo. You explained it well. In Windows 10 of my laptop I followed some videos to disable Cortana you perhaps know why. Now search does not work. I watched and followed several videos on youtube but none of them solved the problem.Do you have a video to solve that issue?

This is so weird, I seen one different video like this wanting me to re-write things. This last year I have been resetting my PC for better running, and usually use AVG browser and it never just automatically started searching with Bing, it said AVG, now I am not into doing this rewriting, I just want to select default browser, and it actually says AVG "is" my default browser, but it searches in Bing, odd...
