Even though I deleted every single search engine besides google (in chrome win 10) every search still throws me to bing. This method does not work on windows 10 in chrome browser. Thanks for trying tho!

I can't edit my recent comment so I am adding another. It turns out that its only subsequent tabs that had google as the search engine. I think I have found it now. In settings you have categories of "search engine", "default browser" and if you scroll right to the bottom you get "on start up". This cheekily had a home page of bing to open on start up, even though I had removed bing from the list of search engines. (I chose open the new tab page or you can chose pick up where you left off or set yourself a new home page)

I did this and then a restart and I thought it hadn't worked as when I opened chrome again it still had the bing logo however after a minute or two, I opened chrome again and google is my search engine. Thank you very much.
